Before the run up to the festive season, we'd just like to ask that when you're considering what do to with the dark, miserable nights - remember your local pub this winter.
Without getting too political, the budget did hospitality absolutely no favours at all. And if you want your favourite local to still be open next summer, we ALL need your support now. We know times are tough, we know money is tight, but even if it's just a pint on the way home, an hour to see the live band on a Friday, a drink before heading off to Sunday lunch with the family - every little helps!
Because... we all know a pub is not just a pub. It's where you feel a little bit less lonely, a little bit less stressed, a little bit more positive, a little bit calmer and a lot more loved.
We are lucky, we have lots of wonderful support, but we still need you. Most people think January and February are the hardest times, when in reality it's October and November. By January, for many it will be too late.
The Great British pub is an institution and should remain so. Please love your local, wherever it is. You'll miss it if it doesn't survive.
Sorry for the long post - but this really matters to us. Not only do we love our pub and our team, we'd be virtually unemployable by anyone else now!!
