Weather permitting, The Shepherd’s Hut at The Bertie Arms will be serving up a taste of Texas this Friday and Saturday evening!

Expect slow-cooked brisket, BBQ pulled pork buns, loaded fries, bacon-crusted mac & cheese and plenty more smoky, comfort-food favourites. 🌮🍔🔥

Whether you’re popping in for a pint, meeting friends or fancy a relaxed evening in the sunshine, come and grab some delicious food from the hut and soak up the weekend atmosphere.

⚽🏆 Tomorrow night’s England opener is going to be a BIG one at The Bertie! 🏆⚽

What started as a quiz we thought might be tricky to fill has turned into a packed house with around 80 of you joining us! 🤯

If you’re booked in for the quiz, don’t worry – your tables will be reserved and you’ll have priority seating throughout the evening.

If you’d just like to pop in to watch the football, we’d still love to see you! If there’s space towards the back of the pub, you’re very welcome to join us, but please bear with us as quiz teams will take priority.

We’re also firing up the BBQ! 🌭🍔 Quiz teams have a burger or hot dog included in their entry, and for everyone else, burgers will be available for just £5 while stocks last.

There are still a handful of quiz places left if you fancy joining in, but they’re disappearing fast!

It’s shaping up to be a fantastic atmosphere. Come and cheer England on with us! 🦁🍻

Update!!! The chiller is fixed and the beer is cold and flowing!!

A little hiccup! we’re afraid our beer chiller in the cellar has decided to call it a day! 🍺💨

We’ve requested urgent assistance from the cellar engineers, but in the meantime we’re unable to serve any draught beers or ciders until it’s fixed.

The good news? 🍷🍾 All bottled beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks are completely unaffected, so there’s still plenty to enjoy while we wait for the cavalry to arrive!

Apologies for the inconvenience, and we’re keeping everything crossed for a speedy repair. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we’re pouring pints again! 🤞

AU-BERTE NIGHT IS ON .... TONIGHT!

Seriously good seasonal food, cooked properly and served in the kind of atmosphere that makes a weeknight feel like a treat. The chefs are on form and the menu is an absolute belter.

Amazing value
Big, bold flavours
Genuinely probably cheaper than buying all the ingredients yourself
And yes… absolutely zero washing up 🙌🏻

Menu’s above 👆🏻 and it really is as good as it sounds. Come hungry.
