Traditional public house in the heart of Southam’s high street The building is now a traditional style public house, retaining its classic and quirky decor.

According to legend, this building was used in 1642 by King Charles to pay his troops with the first minted coins after the battle of Edge Hill. It was then converted by John Liddington Leisure to mainly open plan, preserving plenty of timberwork together with displays of civil war guns, pikes and swords. We have a large partly-covered outdoor beer garden with a childrens' play area and a private car park. Our garden is spacious and contains a marquee perfect for parties and occasions.
