There she is – Macheala 💛👋
One of the originals, here since the day The Wheatsheaf opened and, at this point, probably entitled to part ownership of the building.
She somehow knows what’s going on everywhere – bookings, guests, the hotel, the floor, the team, and whatever little drama has kicked off in the last five minutes.
She’s a big reason our standards stay so high too. She notices the details, gets things sorted and makes chaos look suspiciously organised. 😅
She’s brilliant with guests – warm, welcoming, naturally funny, and the kind of person who makes you feel like she’s known you for years, even if it’s your first time through the door.
Then there’s the energy. ⚡️
She clocks up around 28,000 steps flying around The Wheatsheaf…
…and then goes to the gym. 💪
At this point, we’re fairly sure “Gym Macheala” is just her alter ego.
Same energy. Slightly more Lycra. 😂
(Starting to think this is becoming a bit of a theme with this team. 👀🏋️)
Macheala’s been a huge part of The Wheatsheaf from day one, and we’re very lucky to have her.
If she ever sits down for five minutes, please alert us immediately.
