🍺 WHAT AN OKTOBERFEST! 🍺
A huge thank you to everyone who came along yesterday and made it such a brilliant day at The Lion. The garden was buzzing, the b**r was flowing, the sun put in an appearance and we couldn’t have asked for a better crowd.
A massive thank you to Jess & Dec Duo , Andy Phoenyx music and Roadkill Pizza for keeping us entertained, and to Papworth Brewery, Wolf Brewery Wylde Sky Brewing and The Belgian Brewer for some cracking b**rs.
Our new b**r flights went down an absolute storm - judging by the number making their way out to the garden, you certainly enjoyed working your way through the selection! It was also brilliant to see so many of our younger visitors making the most of the new play equipment - it certainly got a thorough road test!
An especially big thank you to all our amazing staff, who really do go above and beyond to make events like this happen. And to the volunteers who step up to support them - whether that's handcrafting b**r flight boards, lifting and shifting, or making sure the garden always looks lovely.
We’d also like to thank the RAF Red Arrows for their spectacular display. We’d love to say we arranged it especially for Oktoberfest, but unfortunately our events budget doesn’t quite stretch that far.
Most of all, though, we want to thank everyone who came, ate, drank, danced, sang and made the day what it was. We hope you had as much fun as we did.
And if you missed it… don’t worry, Oktoberfest will be back.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait another year. 🍻
