🔎 What a cracking first Murder Mystery Night! 🔎

Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and had a go at solving Palmer’s Poisoned Pint. We were far too busy investigating, hosting and enjoying ourselves to remember to take any photos! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

We had such a laugh—and judging by the detectives in the pub, we’ll definitely have to do another one! 🕵️‍♀️☠️🍺

This week’s Bonus Ball winner was Pezza—congratulations, and thanks for the drinks! 🍻

From 7pm — come and help celebrate his big birthday in Little Lion style! 🥳

We’ll be raising a glass in remembrance, with the beautiful Leyla Harputlu from 2pm, taking us down memory lane with some oldies but goldies.

🧸 Saturday 14th — Charity PJ Party
From 4pm — get your best pyjamas or onesie on! We’re getting cosy in aid of Friends of the Baby Unit, Derby ❤️

🎄 Saturday 28th — Rugeley’s Christmas Light Switch-On
Enjoy the town’s festivities throughout the day, with the lights switch-on at 6.30pm as the grand finale! ✨

This Saturday, the Little Lion becomes the scene of PALMER’S POISONED PINT — our relaxed Victorian pub murder mystery! 🔍🍺

Before anyone panics… it’s just a bit of Halloween fun running alongside a normal Saturday evening in the pub. No acting required, no complicated rules and no need to dress up — unless you fancy it! 🤭

Simply grab a drink, gather a team of up to four and follow four clues around the pub. Study the suspects, expose the lie and tell us who poisoned Arthur Vale’s pint!

It’s lovely when people from the pub’s past pop in and share their memories. ❤️

A few weeks ago, Jane Whitty came in with this beautiful old painting of the Red Lion. Her mum and dad, Ted & June, ran the pub in the mid-80s — around 40 years ago!

Jane said the pub was just as she remembered it. How lovely that, after all those years, it still feels so familiar. 🍻

Our limited-edition commemorative glasses are available in pub until the 11th November, helping us raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion. Featuring a special poppy design by Army veteran and artist Jane Wilkes, every glass helps support the Armed Forces community. ❤️

💚🍻 WHAT A FIRST DAY AT THE ALBION! 🍻💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came through the doors and showed us so much support. It was lovely to see familiar faces, meet new ones and see The Albion busy again! 🥰

The atmosphere was just what a proper pub should be: friendly faces, good conversation and people enjoying themselves. Thank you for making our first day so special.

The Albion and the Little Red Lion are part of one team, and we’re proud to be looking after both pubs. Each has its own character, but both are here to offer a warm welcome and a great place to enjoy a drink. ❤️💚

Rugeley has some fantastic pubs, each offering something different, and that’s something to celebrate. There’s room for everyone, and together we can help make our town a great place to go out and enjoy ourselves. 🍻

But the truth is, if we don’t use our local pubs, we risk losing them. They’re more than places to have a drink; they’re part of our town, our history and our community.

So wherever you choose to go, support your local and let’s keep Rugeley’s pubs thriving!
