Today we say goodbye to a true village character and a familiar face at The Greyhound Inn.

Pete Havelock was known by so many around the village and always brought a smile, a story, or a bit of banter through the doors of the pub. He was one of those people who helped make the Greyhound what it is — a proper community local full of familiar faces and good memories.

As Pete’s funeral takes place today, we wanted to take a moment to pay our respects and send our thoughts to all of his family and friends.

He’ll be sadly missed by us all and will always be remembered as part of the Greyhound family.

Rest easy, Pete 🍺
