That's all folks!! Thank you to everyone that came to The Tavern yesterday for our last ever day. You drank us dry !!! Thank you to every single person that made The Tavern a success over the past 5 years, we will miss you all (but thankfully i won't be making any meatballs for a long while😆 ) we'll be having a well earned rest before the next venture😉

Just a reminder we are open for drinks tomorrow from 1pm for our last ever day at The Tavern,and as it's the Food Festival in town this weekend please feel free to eat your food at The Tavern whilst your having a pint or two. Hope to see you tomorrow 🙂

All good things must come to an end and that good thing is The Tavern .We served our last tapas on Saturday, ( Anthony and Ruth Banton had the honour of the very last plate of food) We want to thank every single person that has visited us , we've had some amazing nights, birthday's🎂, engagements💍 weddings💒, baby showers👶, hen do's and some great live music.🎵 We want to thank our amazing staff past and present, we could've done it without you.❤️❤️
It's not quite over yet, we will be serving drinks this coming Saturday and there is a food festival in town over the weekend so pop in for a cocktail before we say goodbye for good.

Good morning, for people who might not know we are closing The Tavern 😪.Our last night for food will be 25th April, we do plan on having a drinks only night the following weekend. We still have available tables on 17th and 24th April if you want to join us before we go. The prospect of selling the business is looking very unlikely as we've had no enquiries so we will be having a massive sale! We are selling everything, tables, chairs, plates , glasses , pictures , fridges, you name it they will be for sale as soon as the last day is over , if there is anything that you have your eye on please let us know . This also means i (Susie) will be jobless so if anyone wants a hard worker let me know !! We are closed next weekend for Easter but if you want to book in after that send us a message

I've just counted and we only have 7 weekends left before we close! 😥if you want to book in before we leave please send us a message. Thank you all once again for all your support over the years , we really appreciate it.The decision to close the Tavern has not been an easy one but we want to go out on a high and hopefully someone buys it so we can book in as customers!! 😄

We have some news to share
After 5 great years we are selling The Tavern. We officially put it on the market yesterday.
Our lease comes to an end in May and while we can extend it for another 3 years we have decided working every weekend is just not an appealing prospect. Its a very bittersweet decision as we have absolutely loved our time at The Tavern but we also want to be able to have more quality time together and also try and recoup some of the 40k we invested to open! We could just close but hopefully the prospective new owner will continue where we left off🤞
We are still taking bookings until the end of April but only for our evening tapas menu as we are not offering the lunch menu any longer
Thank you all for all the support you have given over the last 5 years and hope to see you before we go.❤️
