A traditional real ale pub with twelve hand pulls serving a selection of guests as well as Black Country Ales favourites.

Our garden features both open and shaded areas, with a heated smoking area for those fresher nights. 2 pint take home in a closed carton available.

It's Thursday! You know what that means! It's our Halloween quiz this evening at 8pm with A Worthy Quiz, with prizes for best costume and team dress up. There is also over £200 in the PYCR pot if you fancy your chances at winning a bit of money!

We have a bar full of fresh ale on for you this evening and to see us into our weekend of Halloween celebrations, ale shout outs go to:

🍺 "Nip" by Little Brewing Co. A 3.9% blood red pale ale that is easy drinking and perfect for Halloween weekend.
🍺 "Neewollah" by Salopian, a 4% fresh and juicy pale ale, light and vibrant on the palate with a fruit filled finish.
🍺 "The Final Cut" by Oakham, a 6% cask aged IPA with powerful hop aromas, with intense tropical and citrus fruit flavours.

Fresh on the bar is The Prince of Darkness by Hobson's Brewery. A 4.2% dark, rich, full bodied stout with roasted coffee, cacao and molasses. Another tribute to the one and only Prince of Darkness, and a very fitting b**r for Halloween week. Get over here and get yours while you can!

🍺 "NZ pale" by Shiny Brewery - a 3.9% New Zealand hopped pale ale, which is also gluten free!

🍺 "The Magic Number" by Salopian Brewery - a tripple hopped, golden ale with layers of fruit flavour and soft, sweet maltiness.

Why not come over, grab a freshly made cob or butcher's pork pie/sausage roll, wash it down with a pint of something gorgeous, and maybe even grab some raffle tickets for our upcoming charity meat raffle, being drawn at our Halloween Party!

It's Tuesday! That means it's games night, and a chance for you to come and try the two lovely new b**rs fresh on the bar today!

🍺 "Ghost Ship" from Adnam's, a 4.1% pale ale with a malty backbone and pithy bitterness. This is an old favourite, it always flies off the bar, so grab one while you can!

🍺 "Foundation Stone" by Lymestone, a 4.5% golden pale ale with faint biscuit and fruity notes, with a pleasing, long dry and bitter finish.

🍺 "Mohawk" a 4.4% pale ale by Oakham - a very interesting b**r! Brewed using the experimental hop NZH106, a hop that isn't likely to be seen in the UK again! Vibrant and juicy with a balanced bitterness.

🍺 "Stairway to Earnest" by Burton Bridge - we love a good Stairway series b**r by Burton Bridge! A 5% pale ale delivering vibrant fruit flabour with a smooth balanced bitterness.
