Well who’d have thought…
July I’m running a 15k tough mudder with the family to raise money for my beautiful granddaughter, feeling at full fitness (ish) 🤣🤣🤣
August, I’m diagnosed with cancer of the throat!
September, I found out the treatment will be 30 days, Monday to Friday, of radiotherapy with a dose of chemo thrown in every Tuesday too. It’s a ‘radical’ treatment but is aimed at a full cure.
October treatment start 💪🏼
I have no intention of being poorly or feeling sorry for myself. Having a beautiful family and friends around me and being in absolute awe of The Christie itself, the team there and more importantly, fellow patients.
I’m using my story to do a huge charity day at the pub. Saturday 28th November. Raffles. Auctions. Games. Plenty of chances to win things. All for a brilliant cause.
