Thursday & Sunday nights, Gavin Yarker hands you the mic and the rest is between you, the crowd and whatever song you’re about to absolutely butcher.

Every singer gets a FREE SHOT for having the nerve, and the Lucky 7 offers are running all night — because confidence is considerably cheaper after a couple of drinks.

Technically we’re on the first floor. Basement vibes though. Dark, loud, sweaty and exactly how we like it.

We’ve never tried to be the nicest bar in town. We’d rather be the one you remember.

And judging by this lot, plenty of you seem to agree.

Massive thanks to everyone who keeps walking up those stairs and filling our dancefloor. You lot are what makes Hoochi, Hoochi.

Trying to work out what Giles is going to play next is pretty much a waste of your time. His sets can go absolutely anywhere, and that’s exactly how we like it.

If it’s good, it gets played. Simple as that. You won’t find the same safe, predictable playlist you’ve already heard five times that night somewhere else.

Giles takes care of Saturdays from 10PM til 4AM

She abandoned us last month. We’ve almost forgiven her...
Almost.

But the natural order has been restored and Elder Emo is back behind the decks at Hoochi Koochi for her usual first Friday of the month takeover.

Expect eyeliner. Questionable life choices. Songs you absolutely did not grow out of. And a room full of people who still know every fu***ng word.

We could write one of those painfully corporate posts looking for “enthusiastic, outgoing individuals to join our dynamic team”…

But this is Hoochi!

We want the weirdos, goths, emos, indie, punks, rockers, ravers, inked skin doodlers, pierced human pin cushions, alternative oddballs, non square normals, misfits, alien beings and general creatures of the night 👽

Basically, if you’ve spent most of your life being told you’re a bit different, you’ll probably fit in nicely.

You’ll need personality, attitude, a decent work ethic and the ability to keep your head when Hoochi is absolutely bouncing.

Get in and you’re not just picking up a few bar shifts. You’re joining the inner circle.

Hoochi has THIS!

That is, technically, Zombie by The Cranberries being sung on the video. We appreciate that may not be immediately obvious 🫣

Meanwhile there's people “dancing”, playing pool in the background and absolutely nobody is asking her to stop. Being able to sing has never been allowed to get in the way of a good night here.
