A traditional pub located in the village of Ribchester in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Children and dogs welcome.

Now serving Chippy Tea on a Friday 5pm-8pm and Sunday roast on a Sunday Midday-6pm. The Black Bull Inn, in Ribchester is a fantastic pub conveniently situated on the Ribble Way and the River Ribble passes right around our beautiful village. We serve Traditional Home Cooked Pub Food and Sunday Lunches. We have beautiful open fires for the colder months and in the summer we have a huge beer garden to the rear of the building which gets the sun all afternoon. The Black Bull is perfect to call in for a pint and some food after a long walk. You could also join us for a game of pool or darts with some of your friends. We welcome Walkers, Dogs, Cyclists, Families and the many visitors that we get to our beautiful village.

🎤 THIS SATURDAY 🎤

You asked, we listened... And we'll be listening again this Saturday night when we'll be bringing out the karaoke for a first outing since the pub reopened.

Since it'll be Halloween, fancy dress is positively encouraged. And you can all find out what my karaoke song of choice is as well.

So bring your best singing voices and your finest Halloween costumes and we'll see you at the bar!

We opened up very briefly yesterday for the visit of Dale from The Great British Pub Crawl. It was great to welcome him and show him around The Black Bull. Check out what he thought of our lovely pub here.

A few people were asking yesterday if we'll be open today (Monday).

We were open earlier (very briefly - but more on that to come 👀) but will be closed as usual for the rest of the day. Our good friends at the Ribchester Arms have had their power restored so they are back open as usual today.

We'll see you at their bar today and our bar tomorrow!

We have all sorts of good news for your Sunday here at The Black Bull:

1. The pub hasn't blown away

2. We're serving Sunday roasts from midday - 6pm (or until we run out!)

3. Today's menu addition is beef chilli nachos, perfect for eating while watching the football

4. We're showing Man Utd v Bournemouth (2pm) and Sunderland v Leeds (4.30pm). Other 2pm games are available on request

5. We have a new seasonal ale - Boo! It's a frighteningly good red ale and the perfect b**r for the darker evenings

We're open and serving our Sunday roasts until 6pm (or sooner if they run out!)

We also have our homemade platemeat or cheese and onion pies available with chips, peas and gravy for your culinary delight.

TODAY'S MENU ADDITION 🍽

This Sunday, not only are we doing our regular Sunday roasts, but we are also offering homemade pie and peas for £8.95. Choose from platemeat or cheese and onion pie for the perfect accompaniment to watching the football.

On that note, we'll be showing Hull City v Everton followed by the big one as Manchester City head to Liverpool.

So if it's a roast dinner, pie and peas, Premier League football, or simply a pint of ale you're after then The Black Bull is the place to be today!
