A Historic Riverside Pub, Restaurant and Wedding Venue in Oxford. The Perch is one of Oxford’s oldest pubs.

We’re just a few minutes walk from the Isis (Oxford’s stretch of the Thames) and Port Meadow, a historic common stretching from Jericho to Wolvercote. In the summer, our garden is the envy of the whole city, and our 17th century plaster-rubble building with its traditional thatched roof will charm even the most seasoned pub-goers. Our food has a classic British farmhouse focus allowing seasonality and quality of ingredients to lead our menus…home baked breads, pies, puddings & casseroles, river & sea fish, summer salads, potted meats & terrines, homemade chutneys, pickles & preserves, hedgerow desserts and a very fine Ploughman’s…You get the idea. We take good drinks just as seriously as we take good food. We work closely with breweries of all sizes to bring you a magnificent and ever-changing selection of ales, ciders, and perrys. We also offer an extensive list of quality English wines to complement our menus, as well as a full bevy of soft drinks and hot beverages. We’re proud to say we probably have the best selection of English wines in the county.

On Monday, the Perch team were invited to celebrate the end of harvest at Hundred Hills 🍾

We had a lovely afternoon learning more about the harvest season, seeing a little of what goes on behind the scenes and, of course, enjoying a few glasses of their sparkling w**e in the sunshine☀️

A big thank you to the Hundred Hills team for having us and if you haven’t tried their w**es yet, make sure to look out for them next time you’re at The Perch. 🥂

After more than three long years, it’s rather lovely to see Botley Road open again ✨

The closure has been a long one for the businesses and community around Botley, so we’re pleased to see the road open and a few more people heading back into Botley!

And for those of you coming to The Perch from Oxford city centre, getting to us by car just got a whole lot easier too!

So, as autumn rolls in, we’ll see you on the other side of Botley Road for a long lunch, a drink by the fire or a cosy afternoon at The Perch🍂
