🍫Dandy Stout - Irish-style stout infused with dandelion root. Opens with notes of burnt caramel, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. This’ll be the first pour of our latest batch, which is now punching at 9% - perfect by the fire.

🌸Rhubarb & Meadowsweet Berliner Weisse - Kettle sour with notes of rhubarb tart, rounded off with subtle almond and vanilla from the foraged meadowsweet. (Chef Series Collab with )

🍓🌊Strawberries-on-Sea Gose - A refreshing gose, with strawberry sherbet notes, cut with seaspray. (Chef Series Collab with )

Oxford fun fact: The Lamb & Flag has been quenching thirsts since at least 1566. Members of the Inklings such as J.R.R Tolkien and C.S. Lewis used to frequent the pub, so if you like your craft beer with a side of history, it’s got you covered. 🍻

We’ve got a new addition to our whisky collection…

The Oxford Artisan Distillery has collaborated with the Oxford Botanic Garden in celebration for their 400th anniversary.

Black Pine is a limited edition rye whisky, inspired by ‘Tolkien’s Pine’, and is displayed with a coaster created from wood of the legendary Black Pine.

The iconic Black Pine (Pinus nigra), likely planted in the early 1830s, met a tragic end in 2014 when it shed two massive branches and needed to be felled.The pine was the favourite tree of JRR Tolkien, and was often referred to as ‘Tolkien’s Pine’. The Black Pine is also unmistakably present at the end of Philip Pullman’s ‘His Dark Materials’ trilogy, when its he**in, Lyra, sits underneath this famous tree.

This rye whisky and is an ode to the essence of a pine forest. Fruity and woody, the complexity of the wood character shines through with hints of mint, pepper and cedar smoke.
