EMPTY CHAIRS IS BACK 💕

It’s a simple idea with one big goal: to help tackle loneliness and bring people together.

It is on tonight, Monday 7th September at 7pm we’ll be creating a welcoming space around the table, with a few chairs left empty for anyone who’d like some company.

Not sure where to go or who to look for? Keep an eye out for someone wearing an orange jumper 🧡 — they’ll be there to welcome you, have a chat and help you find your seat.

No pressure. No agenda. No expectations. Just a chance to sit down, have a drink, chat and maybe meet someone new. 🍻

✨ Empty Chairs will take place every first Monday of the month.

Whether you’re new to the area, working from home, retired, having a tough time, or simply fancy some company — there’s a seat for you.

Well… here we go!

I’m really excited (and maybe just a little nervous!) to say that I’ve taken on the pub and I’m looking forward to this next chapter.

A lot of you will already know me, but this is a new step for me and I’m really looking forward to it aswell as meeting plenty of new faces and seeing lots of familiar ones along the way.

I’m hoping to make the pub a great place to come, have a drink, have a laugh and enjoy yourselves.

Here’s to new beginnings, good times and plenty of memories to come!

❤️ And just like that…today is my final day at The Nags Head. ❤️

I honestly don’t know how to put into words what this place has meant to me. The Nags was never just a pub—it became my home, my family and such a huge part of my life.

There have been busy days, difficult days, emotional days and plenty of completely chaotic ones! But there has also been so much laughter, love, friendship and an unbelievable amount of support.

To my incredible staff—thank you for standing beside me through absolutely everything. You were never “just staff”; you became my Nags family. I’m so proud of every one of you, and I will carry all our memories with me forever. ❤️

To our wonderful customers, regulars and the whole community—thank you for walking through our doors, supporting us, joining in with all my mad ideas and making the Nags the special place it is. Whether you came in every day, every week or just occasionally, you played a part in our story, and I will always be grateful.

Thank you for every drink bought, every meal ordered, every event supported, every kind word, every laugh and every friendship made. You’ve given me memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Leaving today is incredibly emotional, but I’m also so proud of everything we achieved together. It’s time for me to begin my next chapter at The Flintlock—but a piece of my heart will always belong to The Nags Head. 🥹❤️

This isn’t goodbye. I’ll be back on the other side of the bar, probably still telling everyone what to do! 🤣
