🚵‍♀️ Our lovely regular, James, in doing something pretty amazing tomorrow - cycling all the way from Nottingham train station to St Pancras station. A whooping 140 miles. IN ONE DAY!!!
Raising money for two quite different organisations close to his heart. Read the fundraising page for a heart-felt explanation, from his partner Rachael, of how much these causes mean to him.

New Month; New Season; New Sunday Session!!
We're starting off September with the second of our new music sessions, led by the wonderful Ben Mark Smith and featuring a spotlight set from Myles Knight. Come along to share your music or listen along - it'll be a grand way to spend Sunday afternoon.

Been busy organising the D.H Lawrence Music Festival the last few weeks ... but i don't want anyone to forget about this fantastic event ill be running the day after (6th September)

A totally acoustic open mic at the wonderful The Abdication Micropub.
Great beer, food, good wholesome music and wonderful people ... the perfect place to relax and hear a few tunes after a hectic day at the festival.

Pop down from 2:30 (maybe earlier if you want a seat) and pop your name down on the list to sing a couple songs.

🌟 T H A N K Y O U 🌟
What a fabulous 12th Birthday weekend to end August. It was M A G I C - Tom Harbison-Roper, magician - being one of the stars of the weekend - ha ha!! Along with Mel C for completing her 💯 Squats A Day challenge for Cancer Research UK and raising an amazing £1.7K along the way.
A H U G E thank you to everyone who joined in with all the celebrations and fun fundrasing. You guys are sooo generous and always join in with such enthusiasm. It's completely wonderful.
More lovely things already in the pipeline as we move into September. Look out for more info coming later this week.....

The weekend is here!! What you need to know to join in the celebrations 🎂👇
Sunday is the pub's 12th Birthday. We'll be open from 2pm as usual, with food & cake from 5pm, Magician Tom Harbison-Roper from 6pm and the turntable ready for your vinyl Indie Bangers from 8pm (no doubt we'll have digital means to play your fave track too 😉).
Then Bank Holiday Monday, we'll be open from 2pm too, with 5pm seeing us start the mass Squat-in with Mel to complete her 100 squats every day through August. Buy a raffle ticket for the bottle raffle to be drawn around 6pm. All proceeds to Cancer Research UK. There'll be a Bank Holiday cheese board too 🧀

🍻 AUGUST YEAR OF BEER - pouring tomorrow from 4pm 🍻
Ravenna from Thornbridge Brewery is a sightly hazy juicy pale ale, 4.5%, single hopped with Mosaic. The hops exude huge aromas of mango and kiwi,
followed by flavours of papaya and citrus. Sounds delicious 😋 Pop along tomorrow to bag your pint & a sticker!

And we're back!! From 4pm tomorrow with a fun-packed week ahead!
It's the pub's 12th birthday on Sunday, we're celebrating Mel's 31 days of 100 squats on Bank Holiday Monday, August's Year of Beer from Thornbridge will be pouring at some point (more on this to come) and Daybrook's favourite landlord will be making a return appearance behind the pumps. YAY!!!
Time to get ready to support Mel's funding raising for Cancer Research UK From tomorrow, raffle tickets will be on sale, with the draw on Monday. The sponsor form is behind the bar or you can do it online below 👇 Then on Monday, wear something blue and join us for the mass squat-in at 5pm. It'll be fun!!!
