A 16th Century dining-pub with rooms set in the leafy village of Mitchell, just off the A30. Join us for classic pub food with a twist, inspired by the seasons. Stay the night in our thoughtfully-converted from the original buildings (once barns, stables and henhouses), surround by rolling countryside.

Sea bream, on our dinner menu at The Plume.

Supplied by our Cornish fishmonger, Wing of St Mawes, who have been working with local fishermen and fish markets for nearly 40 years.

Served with king prawn tails, vanilla mash, buttered spinach and apple salsa.

Great fish, simply done.

Our dinner menu is served from 12pm – 9.30pm, Monday to Saturday.

Christmas parties at The Plume.

Good food, a few glasses, and your favourite people gathered together.

Our Christmas Party Menu will be served from 27 November to 23 December, with two courses for £32.50 or three for £39.50. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available too.

Whether it’s the work Christmas do, dinner with friends or getting the family together before the big day, we’ll take care of the food. You just need to decide who’s coming.

And if nobody fancies being the designated driver, there’s always the option of staying the night too.

We’re looking for someone to join the team at The Plume.

A lot goes into making our rooms feel just right for every arrival, and we’re looking for a new member of our housekeeping team to help us do just that.

It’s a part-time role with early starts and early finishes, beginning at 6.30am/7am and finishing no later than 2pm.

20–30 hours per week
£12.71 per hour plus tips
Rotation of weekends off
Potential for flexibility

Family adventures need a proper basecamp to come back to after a day exploring Cornwall 🌿

Our Family Rooms have an emperor-size bed for the grown-ups, a separate single bed for little ones, and extra sleeping space can be arranged if needed.

There’s a large walk-in shower for washing off the remnants of a day at the beach, and dog-friendly rooms are available on request too 🐾

Then it’s down to the restaurant for dinner, a drink and time together before doing it all again the following day.
