☀️🍺 ONE LAST SUNDAY AT THE OUTSIDE BAR! 🍺☀️
Well… we’ve nearly made it through another summer! 😂
This Sunday 6th September we’re giving the Outside Bar one last proper send-off before we close it down for the summer.
🎸 JO HURWORTH LIVE IN THE GARDEN FROM 4PM
🍺 Outside Bar open all afternoon
🌊 Hopefully a bit of Cornish sunshine
🍻 And one last pint overlooking Mawgan Porth!
Poor old Nick’s leg is a bit twisted, his ankle is a bit buckled and he’s walking like he’s about 97 🤣🤣… but somehow he’s made it through another summer!
And what a summer it’s been ❤️
A huge THANK YOU to our brilliant team who have worked their socks off, and to all of you — locals, regulars, visitors and friends — who’ve filled the garden, supported the pub and enjoyed a few Korevs with us along the way 🍺
The Outside Bar closes at 8pm, so come down, enjoy Jo playing in the garden, have a few drinks and help us see out the summer in proper Merrymoor style.

🌾 OUR HARVEST FESTIVAL IS 50 YEARS OLD! 🌾
This year marks a pretty special milestone for us at The Merrymoor ❤️
Back in 1976, Dad — Dudley Bennett — started our Harvest Festival, with the brilliant Les Parkyn as auctioneer,
50 years later, it’s still going strong! 🙌
And there’s another milestone this year too… our current auctioneer Bob Bosisto is celebrating his 35th year behind the microphone! 🎤👏
So we want to make this year's Harvest Festival a really good one,
🎁 WE NEED YOUR AUCTION GIFTS!
Bottles, hampers, vouchers, meals, experiences, gifts, produce… big or small, we would be incredibly grateful for anything you can donate to the auction,
The photo gives you an idea of what it’s all about — a proper old-fashioned community Harvest Festival, with everyone mucking in and helping raise as much as we possibly can,
❤️ Every penny raised will be going to two fantastic Cornish charities — Children’s Hospice South West and Cornwall Air Ambulance,
And even if you can't donate anything, please come along on Friday 26th September and support us, Bid on something you probably don't need 🤣, have a drink, have a laugh and help us raise a cracking amount for two causes that mean so much to Cornwall!

🎄✨ CHRISTMAS EVE AT THE MERRYMOOR ✨🎄

This is always one of those nights that really feels like Christmas has arrived ❤️

Christmas Eve wouldn’t be the same without my Dad’s DUDLEY’S CHRISTMAS DRAW 🎅🍷🍺

🎁 Draw starts at 7.30pm
With loads of great prizes including bottles of w**e, spirits, packs of b**r and plenty more!

Then from 8.30pm we’ve got Jo Hurworth & Nathan "Jazz Trumpet 🎺" playing a brilliant selection of festive tunes to get everyone well and truly into the Christmas spirit ready for the big day! 🎄🥂

There’s something very special about Christmas Eve in a proper local pub… friends, families and familiar faces all together, a few drinks, Christmas music and everyone winding down ready for Christmas Day ❤️

So come and join us for a drink, have a go on Dudley’s Christmas Draw, enjoy the music and celebrate Christmas Eve with us at The Mezza.

We’re putting on a proper Curry Night & NICK’S BIG CHARITY QUIZ at The Merrymoor 🙌

The curry menu is still being worked on… so I’ll get that up as soon as we’ve decided what we’re cooking! 😋

Then it’s over to me for the BIG CHARITY QUIZ 🧠🤣

Join us TONIGHT & EVERY THURSDAY for a proper good old-fashioned pub quiz at The Merrymoor!

🎄🥒 LARGE PICKLE JARS WANTED — PLEASE! 🥒🎄
We need your help!
We’re looking for large glass jars like these over the NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS for something we’re preparing for our Harvest Festival on Saturday 26th September.
We’re going to be making our Christmas Pickles — made now and left to mature ready for Christmas! 🎅🎄
So if you’ve got any large pickle jars, sweet jars or preserving jars sitting around, please don’t throw them away!
Give them a quick wash and drop them into The Merrymoor Inn over the next couple of days — the bigger the better!
🙏 We need quite a few, so please have a rummage!
