😂💃🕺 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗗 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗡'𝗧 𝗘𝗡𝗝𝗢𝗬𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘?!

We're not entirely sure what we've employed here… bartenders or backing dancers. 😂

Safe to say the Kings staff know how to enjoy themselves while getting the job done!

A little glimpse behind the scenes of the madness that goes on at Kings. We promise they do occasionally serve drinks as well. 👀🍻

And speaking of madness… 𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗡! 🎃

🎃👻 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 — 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗬 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡!

We're getting into the Halloween spirit at Kings, and we've got a little treat for anyone making the effort tonight!

👻 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻! 📸

Make an effort though… our staff are ruthless and a fuzzy pair of socks will NOT count as fancy dress. 😉😂

We're expecting some proper costumes, questionable decisions and hopefully a few outfits that give us a good laugh!

Come down, have a laugh, and enjoy a spooky night of pool, pints and proper Halloween spirit at 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗿! 🍻🎱

⚽📺 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗔𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦!

Both sides will be looking to get one over on their London rivals, and these are exactly the sort of fixtures that can produce a bit of drama!

Get yourself settled in with a pint and enjoy the action. 🍻

𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 – 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 🎱

Week 10 of the Jefferstone Windows Series delivered another top-class night at Kings Sports Bar, with a quality field producing high-standard matches, big moments and a fantastic atmosphere throughout!

Final Results:
🏆 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: Woscar Brooks-Harris – Produced a tactically astute performance throughout, handling every match with composure and control. Even when frames looked tricky, he remained calm under the pressure and showed some top skill throughout the night. A well-deserved win after consistently delivering under the cosh.

🥈 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲: Michael Gagliardi – Put together a strong run to reach the final, showing great quality and determination along the way. Just fell short at the final hurdle but a brilliant effort overall and was great to see Jon doing so well in his first Tuesday event.

🎱 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀: Lance Moran & Brian Hashi – Both players had impressive runs, battling through tough matches to reach the latter stages. Narrowly missed out on the final but performances to be proud of, especially for Sam who has only recently started playing in the Tuesday comp. Well done both!

🏆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿: Marc Slade
🥈𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽: Steve Fergus

🎱💷 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 💷🎱

We've had plenty of interest, a few potential match-ups discussed and, unsurprisingly, a fair bit of talking already! 😂

So we're moving forward with plans for our 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 at Kings!

We'll provide the tables 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲, give the matches proper space and viewing, and create an arena-style setup to give them a genuine money-match atmosphere.

But there's been a slight change to the original plans!

🎱⏰ 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 👇

⏰ 𝟭𝟮𝗣𝗠 — 3 matches available

⏰ 𝟰𝗣𝗠 — 3 matches available

𝗦𝗜𝗫 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦. 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦.

Both sessions will be a maximum of 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟱.

We've removed the originally proposed 8pm highlight session because Kings will also be hosting the 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 & 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 that evening! 🏆🍻

With live music, presentations and everything else going on, we want the money matches finished beforehand.

The last thing we want is players trying to concentrate on a serious money match while there's a band playing, people celebrating and the club getting increasingly lively! 😂

𝗜𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

And once the matches are finished, everyone can enjoy the Presentation Night together! 👑

💷🎱 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥?

We're still looking for players who genuinely fancy putting a few quid on themselves.

We're not really interested in giving tables away all day for £50-a-man baby money! 😂

If we're going to give up the tables and make a spectacle of it, we'd like to see players putting 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 on the line.

Whether you've got a friendly rivalry to settle, someone you've fancied playing for a while or you're simply confident enough to back yourself, this is your opportunity!

💷🔒 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗦

Every confirmed match will require a 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁 £𝟱𝟬 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, held safely by Kings.

That gives both players some security without punishing those who want to play for a bigger pot.

If you play — 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. Your £50 simply forms part of your stake.

If you pull out — your £50 is lost. 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 £𝟭𝟬 for the lost table/session and the other 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 £𝟰𝟬 for being left without a game.

𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲. 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆. 😂

📲🎱 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛-𝗨𝗣𝗦!

We've already had a number of potential matches discussed, and we'll now be looking to get everything properly organised.

𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛-𝗨𝗣𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗘 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗔 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗧.

From there, we'll establish who's genuinely interested, confirm opponents, agree stakes and finalise the available sessions.

Nothing will be considered confirmed until both players have agreed to the match and paid their deposits.

With only 𝗦𝗜𝗫 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦 available, we won't be able to accommodate everyone if interest continues to grow.

So if you've been talking about playing someone for money, now's probably the time to decide whether you're actually going to do it! 👀😂

👑🎱 𝗔 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗔𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦!

We'll have the money matches taking centre stage during the day, followed by the Newport & District Presentation Night, with live music and celebrations in the evening.

Hopefully a cracking atmosphere from start to finish, with some proper competitive pool followed by a well-earned few beers! 🍻

If you're genuinely interested in playing, 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 with roughly what you'd be prepared to play for. If you've already got an opponent in mind, tag them!

👑🎱🎯🔴 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 @ 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦

We're already home to a huge number of teams across multiple sports and leagues — but we're looking to grow again.

Whether you want to form a brand-new team or already have a team and are considering a new home, we're currently recruiting across Pool, Darts & Snooker.

🎯 𝗧𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 — 𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗢 𝟯𝟬𝟭 𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦
Our Double-In Double-Out 301 League is heading towards its THIRD season, with details for the new season currently being discussed. We already have 2 Kings teams and would love to add another.

🎱 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 — 𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗟
We currently have 6 teams playing from Kings on Wednesdays and we're looking for more. With both the Wednesday Premier Pool League and Cwmbran District Pool League available, there are options for different standards.

🎯 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 — 𝗠𝗘𝗡'𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗘
The next season is still a long way off, but we're always looking to bring more teams into Kings and start the conversations early.

We're currently home to two brilliant Thursday darts teams, and with our back room now truly taking shape as a dedicated darts area, we'd love to add more.

Whether you're thinking about forming a new team or looking for a new home for an existing one, come and have a chat with us. 👑🎯

🔴 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 — 𝗦𝗡𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗥
While we don't currently have a snooker team representing Kings, we still have the facilities to accommodate one.

If somebody is interested in forming a new team or already has a team looking for a new home, we're more than happy to have a conversation and see if we can make it work.

🎱 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 — 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 & 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗟
We currently have 8 teams representing Kings on Sunday nights. We've previously been committed to keeping that as our maximum, but we're now willing to open the doors to ONE final team for next season.

Once it's gone, it's gone.

🏆 𝗪𝗣𝗔 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗘 / 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗬 𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗟
Kings is currently home to 2 Men's teams and 1 Women's team, and we're looking to add ONE NEW MEN'S OR WOMEN'S TEAM.

Interleague is played just one Sunday a month, giving players the opportunity to represent Kings against teams from across Wales without committing to weekly league pool.

🎁 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦?

Depending on the league/team, support can include league entry paid, food for home matches, discounted team membership, free pre-match practice and bar-tab rewards for league/cup success.

More importantly, you'll be representing a venue that genuinely wants its teams to thrive and gives them the facilities to do it.

📩 Whether you've already got a full team, you're putting one together or you're simply interested and want more information — message the Kings page.

Saturday also marks 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗿'𝘀 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Normally that alone would be a reason for a massive celebration. This year, however, we're bringing together several things that mean an enormous amount to us and to people within our community.

We'll once again be hosting 𝗥𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝘃𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗽, bringing together two huge parts of Newport's pool history and remembering people who helped make that community what it is.

It means Saturday will be a strange mixture of celebration and remembrance.

We'll be celebrating 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, celebrating friendships and the community that has grown around the club, raising as much money as we possibly can — while also sharing stories and remembering some very special people who aren't here to celebrate it with us.

There will be plenty happening at Kings throughout the 24 hours and particularly on the Saturday, and we'll release much more information as we get closer.

Tonight we are hosting the Newport
& District Pool League Finals Night again.

It’s always a brilliant night and we are sure tonight will be no different.

Good luck to all players and thanks to the committee for trusting Kings with it.

Some tables are available, check availability online at kingssportsbar.uk

24/10/2026

WE ARE OPEN. And sorry.

We would like to apologise. If anyone left due the alarm and left a drink etc. And/or table time. We will reimburse so people are not shafted.

Kings is fine and unfortunately due to another business, our fire alarms were set off.

It wasn’t anything to do with us but we were the ones who were affected.

This has now cost us an evenings trade essentially and ruined lots of people’s evening.

We are sorry.
