The sun is still shining and it's nice and warm out there.
Here at La Sicilyana, we love good coffee ☕ and cakes.
🍰The pistachio and ricotta is an all time favourite, especially with a scoop of Sicilian pistachio 🍨 gelato and pistachio sauce on top! 😋

Happy Friday everyone! 🥰
Scottish scones 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and Italian carbonara 🇮🇹 ?
We are a truly Italian bistro but we love to mix things a bit!

Delicious home made scones and Italian cakes in the morning and the authentic Carbonara (meaning no cream and pork guanciale instead of average bacon), both really tasty! 🍝

Today's lunch specials
Mushroom, roasted carrots and soft cheese soup 🍲
Delicious Carbonara

Dinner starts at 5pm with pizza, pasta, lasagne, mains, meatballs, an award winning w**e collection and so much more! 🍷

Let's make egg pasta! 🍝
Laura and sister Paola, who is visiting from Sicily, had some fun making egg tagliatelle.
You only need flour, eggs, salt and some strength for knitting the dough! 💪

Egg pasta takes just a couple of minutes to cook, make sure you boil plenty of salted water to avoid the pasta to stick together.

The perfect topping is a rich sauce like the home made Bolognese Ragu 😋 cooked and served at the bistro!
Some grated Parmigiano Reggiano on top and.... Buon Appetito! 🇮🇹

The battle of the spoons has started between Laura and Lynn to finish this super yummy gelato sundae! 😂

Coppa Miele d'Oro - Golden Honey cup 🍯
3 generous scoops of Honeycomb and Vanilla, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, chocolate flakes

Coppa Etna 🌋
3 generous scoops of Chocolate and orange, Vanilla and Pistachio, pistachio sauce, crumbled pistachio nuts

How good is that? 😋

Just arrived from Sicily... ❤️ And it's not w**e!
There is a new face at the bistro, and it's Laura's sister visiting from Sicily.

🍾 Paola loves the buzz of the bistro, so she wears the apron and spends some time here with the team.

Paola is a Sommelier 🍷 and with her professional advice she helps Laura and Steven finding new w**eries to visit and new w**es to be added to our w**e list and online shop.

So, our w**e collection is also approved by experts and Steven and Laura's taste!

50 years together and counting!

🥂 We are finally able to share some photos from Colin and Barbara's Golden Anniversary celebration here at La Sicilyana, surrounded by their family and friends.

❤️ Colin and Barbara are a wonderful couple and have been coming to our bistro since our very early days. We were absolutely delighted when they asked us to host such a special occasion, and we made sure everything was just right – the food, the w**e and, of course, our warm hospitality.

🙏 The feedback from their guests has been fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the evening, and we couldn't be happier for them.

🎉 Congratulations once again, dear Colin and Barbara, and thank you for letting us be part of such a memorable celebration.
