Temporary Closure: We can confirm that early this morning a fire occurred in the kitchen of the hotel, and the resulting damage requires a full assessment prior to reinstatement. As a precautionary measure, the hotel will be temporarily closed while this work is carried out. At this early stage we are unable to provide a date for reopening.
We are extremely grateful that our fire and evacuation protocols activated immediately and that all guests and staff members were safely evacuated and that no injuries were reported.
We would like to sincerely commend our staff for their calm and professional response and extend our heartfelt thanks to both Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire Service, whose swift response and actions ensured the fire was quickly contained and this undoubtedly prevented it from spreading further. As a result, no other areas of the building have been affected.
Our team is currently contacting guests with upcoming bookings to assist with alternative arrangements during this period. We are committed to minimising disruption and supporting our guests in any way possible.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and appreciate both the understanding and support of our guests and the local community.
