🍽️ Fancy joining us for lunch or dinner this week?

We’ve had a lovely start to November here at The Kings Arms Inn, and it’s been wonderful to see so many people enjoying our food, especially on a Monday evening! ❤️

We’ve been busy introducing some new seasonal dishes to our menu, including our Brixham Scallops with celeriac, Granny Smith apple, sage and hazelnut dressing, and Wiltshire Pheasant with Jerusalem artichoke, king oyster mushrooms and a rich homemade jus.

Alongside these, you’ll find some of our favourites, including Wiltshire Venison, Pork Tenderloin & Slow-Cooked Collar, and Pan-Roasted Brixham Po***ck, as well as all your traditional pub classics.

We put a lot of care into our food, using quality British produce, seasonal ingredients and preparing as much as possible from scratch.

Our aim is simple: to offer beautifully prepared, restaurant-quality food at affordable village-pub prices, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

🍽️ WHAT A LOVELY BUSY LUNCH SERVICE!

It’s been a fantastic lunchtime here at The Kings Arms Inn, Montacute, with plenty of delicious food leaving our kitchen!

🍽️ TWO NEW SEASONAL DISHES AT THE KINGS ARMS INN!

We’ve been busy in the kitchen again, introducing two new dishes celebrating fantastic British produce and the flavours of autumn. 🍂

🐚 BRIXHAM SCALLOPS
Celeriac • Granny Smith Apple • Sage • Hazelnut Dressing

Beautiful pan-seared Brixham scallops, served with smooth celeriac purée, crisp Granny Smith apple, sage and a nutty hazelnut dressing. A lovely balance of sweet, earthy and fresh flavours.

🍂 WILTSHIRE PHEASANT
Roasted Breast • Braised & Glazed Leg • Jerusalem Artichoke • King Oyster Mushroom • Purple Sprouting Broccoli • Pheasant Jus

Tender roasted pheasant breast, accompanied by a slowly braised and glazed leg, roasted Jerusalem artichoke, silky purée, king oyster mushrooms and a rich homemade pheasant jus.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes here at The Kings Arms Inn, Montacute, and we’re excited to share some of the improvements we’re making!

We’re currently investing in upgrading our hotel bedrooms, kitchen and restaurant, as we continue working towards making The Kings Arms an even better place to stay, dine and relax.

We’re introducing some lovely new additions to make our guests’ stays even more comfortable, including:

🍽️ OUR LATEST MENU IS HERE — AND IT’S FISH FRIDAY! 🐟

There are some exciting new additions on the menu at The Kings Arms Inn, Montacute, alongside the pub classics you know and love.

One of our newest starters is Chalk Stream Trout with taramasalata, Granny Smith apple, caviar and tomato consommé — fresh, light and made with some fantastic British produce.

For mains, you’ll find dishes including new-season Wiltshire venison with venison pithivier, glazed carrot and pickled pear; pan-roasted pork tenderloin with slow-cooked collar, black pudding & potato terrine; and Brixham po***ck with Ch*****ne sauce and caviar.

👨‍🍳 WE’RE HIRING — EXPERIENCED CHEF DE PARTIE

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our food offering, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at The Kings Arms Inn, Montacute.

We’re looking for someone who comes from a fresh-food background, takes pride in what they cook and wants to continue developing and progressing within the industry.

Our kitchen is focused on doing things properly. We work with quality British and seasonal produce, sourcing locally wherever possible, with stocks, sauces, terrines, pickles, desserts, ice creams and much more made from scratch in-house.

This would suit a chef who wants to be part of an ambitious kitchen where there’s an opportunity to learn, contribute ideas and develop, rather than simply turn up and cook the same menu every day.

What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to progress
* A solid fresh-food background
* Good organisation and attention to detail
* Reliability and a positive attitude
* Someone who genuinely enjoys cooking and wants to develop their skills
* Ability to work well as part of a small, committed kitchen team

We can offer a potential 4-day working week, with either a salary or hourly rate available for the right candidate, depending on experience and preferred working arrangement.
