A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us at The Ancient Mariner for Halloween night!

You all made it a night to remember, filling the place with amazing costumes, wicked vibes, plenty of dancing and some seriously spooky fun!

A massive shout-out to Back In The Room for keeping the party alive and the dancefloor rocking all night long! You were incredible!

What an evening at The Ancient Mariner last night! The Great Conker Tournament made its much-anticipated return, and what a night it was!

With a fantastic turnout, the atmosphere was electric, the competition was fierce and the battle was well and truly on! There were some absolute beauties on display, some not quite so impressive 😬, but every conker had its moment of glory (or rather, defeat!).

The tension was building with every clash, the crowds were watching, and nobody was giving up without a fight. It was a night of conker carnage, determination and plenty of laughs!

But there could only be one champion...

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO CRAIG – THIS YEAR'S GREAT CONKER TOURNAMENT CHAMPION!🏆

The crown is yours, Craig!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and made it such a brilliant evening.

We'll be back next year, conkers at the ready, to see if Craig can hold on to his title... or whether a new challenger will knock him off the throne!

Let the countdown to next year's battle begin!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for the last Thirsty Thursday of the month! What an amazing turnout and such a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish!

A special thank you to the fantastic Lynmouth Shanty Crew for joining us once again and bringing so much fun, music and laughter to The Ancient Mariner. You really do make these evenings something special, and we're so grateful to have you back time and time again!

And of course, thank you to every single person who came along, supported us, sang their hearts out and helped make the evening what it was. It's so lovely to see everyone coming together, enjoying themselves and making memories.

We're incredibly grateful for the continued support, familiar faces and new faces alike. It's evenings like this that make all the hard work worthwhile.

Something wicked this way comes…

There’s a spooky little secret brewing at The Ancient Mariner… and Sir Rattlebones has only gone and found himself a new favourite tipple!

Introducing Witch Otter Ale from Otter Brewery in Honiton, Devon!

This seasonal brew is packed with malty, biscuity goodness, a hint of herbs and a rich, dark character that’s perfect for those chilly autumn evenings. At 4% ABV, it’s a devilishly good pint to enjoy as the nights draw in!

💀 The trouble is… Sir Rattlebones has been on it!

We’re not entirely sure how many pints he’s had, but he’s been looking a little more wobbly than usual! 😂 We can only hope he remembers where he left his bones by closing time…

So, gather your coven, summon your friends and join us for a spooky pint at The Ancient Mariner!

Thursday 29th October- Lynmouth Shanty crew are back!!! From 8:30pm

Friday 30th October- Exmoor Zoo is back with their Creepy Crawlies! From 2:30pm free entry

Saturday 31st October- Halloween movie time! Bring your kids and enjoy a halloween film and some popcorn on us, from 2pm....

AND Party time from 8pm, Come join us with Back in the room and 4 for £10 shots! Get your best costumes out!!!!

Sunday 1st November - Join us for a relaxing sunday roast infront the fire.
