Next time you feel the urge to spread your wings along City Road, let them carry you to The Angel – a dog-friendly pub serving authentic British pub food and drinks down the road from Old Street station. We’re used to passing faces given our prime spot in the heart of the city, but we always love when they take a detour into our cosy pub, whether you need a large group booking for the latest events, or you’re creating an intimate date night with private dining. And… just between us… the boss wouldn’t mind if you suggested swapping the office for our quiet area and plug sockets during the next work meeting. We’re also a stone’s throw away from some of London’s most interesting sights, including the Shoreditch Street Art Walking Tour, Junkyard Golf Club’s wild, neon-drenched wonderland and Finsbury Circus Gardens. That last one is the largest public space in the City of London – you know, just in case the question pops up on our Tuesday’s pub quiz…

We’ve barely recovered from the World Cup, but England are back and so are our plans to spend 90 minutes cheering at the screen with a pint in hand.

Showing England v Spain, the UEFA Nations League, on Saturday 26th September at 7:45pm.

Round up the squad and get ready for all the pints, a unified love for the game, and completely unbiased refereeing opinions you’d expect from watching England down the pub. Football, best watched at your local.
