Step inside our historic pub in Bloomsbury and let us welcome you to the family-friendly Friend at Hand. An 18th-century pub is the perfect place to enjoy a classic British pint and food in a historic setting, and our dark wood panelling and atmospheric setting make us the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. All the live sports are shown across our Sky and TNT Sport screens, meaning you can grab a drink from the bar and cheer on your team. Tuck into delicious dishes from our pub food menu featuring iconic dishes from fish and chips, juicy burgers, steaks, pies and plenty more. We have free Wi-Fi, disabled facilities and also welcome dogs so come on in and explore all that we have to offer.

A huge welcome back to our good friend Tony, who makes the journey all the way from Barcelona, Spain, to visit us here at the Friend at Hand around 6–8 times a year! 🇪🇸🍻

And what brings him back time and time again? You guessed it… our famous Steak & Ale Pie! 🥧😍

Now that’s what we call loyalty! ❤️ There’s something special about knowing that our little pub in Bloomsbury has become a regular stop for friends travelling from across the world.

👮🍻 40 YEARS LATER… BACK WHERE IT ALL BEGAN! ☘️🤚

What a fantastic moment here at the Friend at Hand as we welcomed back four retired police officers who returned to the very place where their journey first started some 40 years ago! 🍻👏

A lot of memories, plenty of stories to tell, and no doubt a few laughs along the way! 😂 It’s moments like these that remind us what a proper pub is all about — friendships, memories, and bringing people back together, no matter how many years have passed.

🎉🎂 A VERY HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY TO PAULINE! Pauline Forrester🎂🎉

It’s always a pleasure welcoming Pauline & Graham, our lovely regular visitors who travel down from Yorkshire to see us here at the Friend at Hand several times throughout the year! ☘️🍻

🎉🎂 A VERY SPECIAL SUNDAY AT THE FRIEND AT HAND! ☘️❤️

What a lovely occasion we had today! 🥂 Gaye, on the right, surprised her dear friend with a fabulous birthday banner to celebrate her 80th birthday! 🎈🎊 What a wonderful way to mark such a special milestone, surrounded by friendship, laughter and a little celebration!

The ladies enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch with our roast lamb and beef, followed by some lovely desserts 🍖🥩🍨 — the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

From all of us here at the Friend at Hand, we’d like to wish the birthday girl a very happy 80th birthday, filled with happiness, good health and many more wonderful memories! 🥳🥂
