We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everybody who came out last night to join in the Halloween fun and raise money for Cancer Research.

There was live music, fun drinks, and lots of brilliant costumes. We are raising money for a great cause in honour of the wonderful Mary Winder, who many of you will know from her years of running The Boot.

In addition to the donations, we also had a raffle with all proceeds going towards Cancer Research, which is still ongoing as we have SO many prizes donated by amazing companies left to raffle off. We have raised a bit of money so far and we are running the raffle for a few more days, so if you would like to get involved and be in with the chance of winning some fab prizes, such as spa vouchers, skin care products, and even a brand new Lenovo tablet, any donations to the Giving page (linked below) over £5 will be entered in to the prize drawer. Just drop the page a message to let us know and we will enter you in to the drawer. All winners will be notified by telephone.

If you don’t want to enter and would just like to donate, please visit the link and donate what you can. Every little helps towards assisting Cancer Research in their fight against cancer.

There is also a charity bucket in the pub if you don’t want to donate online, and raffle tickets can still be purchased at the bar.

This Halloween, we’re coming together for a very special cause, raising money for Cancer Research UK in loving memory of the wonderful and beautiful Mary Winder, our much-loved former landlady. 💗🕊️

Cancer touches so many lives, and we want to do our bit to help make a difference. Over the last 50 years, Cancer Research UK’s work has helped double cancer survival in the UK, but there is still so much more to do. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps support vital research and brings us one step closer to a world where everybody can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. 🎗️
