Just announced! 🔈️ The pioneering dub and experimental percussion project are coming to The Fox & Firkin for an open air show, featuring special guest on the 25th October.

Formed in the UK and founded in 1981 by percussionist and sonic visionary Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah, the group became a cornerstone of the post-punk dub movement through its long-standing collaboration with producer Adrian Sherwood of On-U Sound.

Rooted in deep Jamaican and West African rhythmic traditions, blending Nyabinghi drumming, reggae basslines, industrial textures and avant-garde studio experimentation, African Head Charge developed a distinctive, immersive sound that bridges ritual percussion and radical studio alchemy.

This Wednesday, come to watch MF Doom’s legendary catalogue performed live by the incredible experimental jazz group, DEYU.

DEYU is a Bristol-based collective delivering a powerful live tribute to the legendary MF DOOM, blending hip-hop and jazz with raw improvisation and deep musicality. Formed from members of some of Bristol’s most unique bands including Snazzback, Waldo’s Gift, and Binbag Wisdom, DEYU rework DOOM’s iconic catalogue into something entirely their own, reimagined through the lens of experimental jazz.

Their performances are more than a tribute. Expect deep cuts, heavy grooves and original verses as DEYU honour one of hip-hop’s most inventive voices with fearless musicianship and a deep love for the material.

Few weeks to go until we welcome this lot to bless us with some side-stepping 🔊

Leading the charge is Breaka, a producer and DJ who’s spent the best part of a decade pushing UK breaks, bass, funky and techno. Since launching Breaka Recordings and dropping his debut album We Move, his genre-bending productions and sets have taken him to dancefloors across the globe.

Expect footwork, garage, breaks, bass, techno and plenty of curveballs.

Joined by Kassian, Jay Carder, Everson x DR3SSA for a proper night of UK underground sounds.

It's with a heavy heart that we inform you that the upcoming Sugarhill Gang performance scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 19th September at Fox and Firkin has been postponed.

Very sadly, we've just received word that members of the band have tested positive for COVID-19 and are unfit to take their transatlantic flight in order to perform.

New date: Saturday 25th September 2027. All tickets remain valid.

If you'd still like to support the venue tomorrow, our wonderful support DJs DJ MTN, Jim Sharp and The SheJay are still bringing the party in the garden, free of charge. Doors open at 2pm.

Ticket holders have been contacted with details on how to claim a refund.

Just announced! Singer-songwriter Will Whisson comes to The Fox 🎟

Renowned for his emotive storytelling and genre-blending sound that traverses folk, rock, and indie-pop. Emerging as a solo artist in 2016, he quit his job and moved out of London to live out of a camper van, busking across Europe.

This nomadic lifestyle led to extensive touring and Whisson has since formed a new trio, working on his third album in a self-built studio in South London.
