🎱 MRC Ranking Series 🎱

Another brilliant day of pool at MRC with a strong field and some excellent matches throughout the bracket.

After some competitive opening rounds, the semi-finals were set with Jacob Baylis, Paul McCambridge, Heulyn Greenslade, and Chris Swinbourne all making the final four.

Jacob overturned the MRC #2 and then came through a tough semi-final against Paul, while Heulyn Greenslade continued her great form with a strong win over Chris to book her place in the final.

That left a final between Jacob Baylis and Heulyn Greenslade, with Jacob taking the win to lift today’s title 🏆

A massive mention goes to Heulyn, who continues to be one of the standout stories of the MRC Ranking Series. Her progress over recent events has been brilliant to watch, and reaching today’s final is another huge step forward. Without doubt one of the most improved players in the room right now 👏🎱

Huge credit to everyone who entered — great standard all day with some brilliant matches throughout. Thanks to everyone who came down, played, supported and helped the day run smoothly.

Most people think the only way to get better at pool is to just keep playing games.

But the players who actually improve… practice differently.

This Wednesday at MRC Pool Club we’re opening the tables from 6pm – 8pm for something a bit different. No competition, no pressure, just focused practice.

We’ll be working through simple routines that build the foundations of the game:

• Potting consistency
• White ball positioning
• Stance and cue delivery
• Understanding angles

These are the small details that separate someone who just plays pool from someone who can actually control the table.

If you’ve never practiced before, you’ll probably be surprised how quickly your game improves once you start.

After 8pm the tables are open to play as normal, so you can put the practice straight into your games.
