TUG OF WAR UPDATE
I’m pleased to announce our compare and master of ceremonies will be Collin Bradshaw of Clockhouse fame.
So…
The weather is looking good, the Scouts have kindly agreed to help with the tent, and the Yarn Bombers have knitted us a rope! And local businesses will be joining us with stalls on the day.
This is a big day for village charity too. “Below The Belt” are the main sponsors, and their goal is to make sure every man in the village gets tested for prostate cancer early. Dean Jones, along with the charity, has kindly provided all-new trophies, which can be seen on display at the GD.
Most importantly, there is still time to get involved.
Several teams are still looking for extra pullers, so pop into your local and get your name down. The Seaview, Salt Café, Grub & Gumption, the British Legion, East Preston Football Club and The Tudor are all looking for recruits.
Don’t have a team? No problem.
We’ll have a sign-up station on the day where people can register and be allocated to a team. And if enough unattached souls gather together, we may even end up with a “Misfits” team. (Please bring trainers)
In fact, if one or two teams fail to turn up, there’s every chance the Misfits could march all the way to glory and become the East Preston Tug of War Champions.
