Well, that was a bit bloody mental! 🤣

Whilst I’m having a good old moan about the Budget and the challenges facing village pubs, you lot are busy reminding us exactly why we love what we do!

A HUGE thank you to Stewkley Scouts, our amazing team and every single one of you who turned up and made Halloween such a brilliant day and night!

It’s about more than pulling pints. It’s about community. ❤️

Absolutely knackered, incredibly grateful… and already plotting the next one! 🤣🍻

🎉🍻 70 YEARS OF JULIAN! 🍻🎉

Well, what a bloody night that was! ❤️

If you’ve ever stepped foot in The Carps, chances are you know Julian! One of our everyday regulars, a familiar face at the bar and pretty much part of the furniture by now! 🤣

To see our little pub absolutely JAM-PACKED with people who’d all come together to “surprise” him for his 70th birthday was nothing short of bloody marvellous! 🥹❤️

Nights like these remind us what a proper village pub is all about. The people, the friendships, the constant piss-taking and, underneath it all, a whole lot of love!

Happy 70th Birthday, Julian! You’re clearly a very loved man! Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a special night. ❤️🍻

We’ve got a whole day of spooky shenanigans planned, and we’re dragging a few others into the madness with us! 💀

🎃 HALLOWEEN KARAOKE IS BACK 🎃

Now… there is a very good chance Halloween at The Carps is actually cursed after last year’s broken toilet fiasco 😭🤣

But are we letting that stop us?

Absolutely not. 👻🎤

So on Saturday 31st October from 8pm we’re doing it all over again — karaoke, costumes, spooky drinks, questionable singing and almost definitely at least one story we’ll still be talking about next Halloween.

Fancy dress VERY encouraged because if we’re going down, we’re going down looking ridiculous. 😂

And yes… we’re all quietly hoping Bar Ben ends up in a dress again because quite frankly, it’s tradition now. 💃🤣
