The Refujazz Online event can also be accessed through this link and the technical problem has been sorted out.

In either case, when you buy a ticket, you will get a confirmation containing the link to the online videos, which are amazing! They will be available until Friday March 20th, so get stuck in and support asylum-seekers in Leeds as you enjoy some great music.

Performing brand new music from his upcoming album, Jamil brings together this exquisite group of musicians featuring long time collaborators Dave Walsh (drums), Nadim Teimoori (saxophone) and Sam Quintana (double bass).

For this new project Jamil has written a collection of music that stands out amongst his impressive back catalogue, drawing from African and Latin American influences as well as pieces that feel more connected to classical composers such as John Ireland. Expect to pulled in by his immersive writing and as always, space and freedom for this group of world-class soloists.

Alto saxophonist and composer Alice Leggett brings her highly anticipated debut album, Birdsong, to the UK. Originally from Cardiff and now based in Amsterdam, Alice is a rising star in the European jazz scene. An active performer at venues like the Bimhuis, she collaborates with leading Netherlands based musicians including, Teis Semey, Chaerin Im, and Tijs Klaassen.

Birdsong captures Alice’s journey across Cardiff, London, New York, and Amsterdam, reflecting on belonging, community, and life’s unpredictable beauty.
