Swiss drummer Florian Arbenz proves once again he’s more than a brilliant drummer—he’s a curator of unforgettable musical chemistry. In his exciting new Organ Trio, he unites Dutch Hammond virtuoso Arno Krijger and US saxophone legend Chris Cheek. Rooted in the rich tradition of the Hammond sound, yet boldly exploring new musical territory, this cross-continental collaboration delivers both depth and surprise. Brilliant Jazz Sunday today at the Chapel Allerton Arts Festival
Colin Byrne's Leeds Jazz Orchestra, Big Bamboo, Carioca Soul, Louis Louis Louis, New York Brass Band were all brilliant on the very lively main stage in Regent Street while Emma Coates, The Rickarby Trio, Jules and the Valley Three and Perfect Fourth sax quartet were really chilled and relaxed at the Well Lane Tent. Even the rain held off! So great to see so many people enjoying themselves!!
Thanks to all the bands, volunteers, sound people, stalls, audience members and everyone else for making it such a memorable day. It's why JazzLeeds loves supporting it!
