❤️🎸 What a day. Honestly… thank you. 🎸❤️

Our first ever Rock Around the Green is officially over and I’m still sitting here thinking about what an amazing day it was.

There were so many laughs, so much brilliant music, a very busy bar… and definitely a few too many vodkas along the way 😂🍹

We honestly couldn’t have done it without the people around us.

A huge thank you to every single band who played. They were all incredible and completely made the day what it was. 🎶

Thank you to Kayleigh for working her socks off behind the bar with us, and to Lewis and Stuart for being our wee runners all day, fetching ice, stock and whatever else we were shouting for at the time 😂❤️

Thank you to Sahara for keeping everyone fed, and to Davey for putting so much work into organising the event and bringing it all together.

But more than anything, thank you to every single person who walked through our doors today.

I know I say it a lot, but I really do mean it when I say how grateful I am for every person who supports our wee pub.

Whether you come in for one drink, stay for ten, pop in for an hour, come to one of our events or simply recommend us to someone else, it all matters. Every pint poured and every person through the door helps keep this place going.

Running a pub isn’t easy. The costs keep going up, local pubs are closing all the time, and there are days where you genuinely wonder how anyone keeps doing it.

Then you have a day like today.

You look around and see the place full of people laughing, singing, dancing and enjoying themselves, and it reminds you exactly why we do it.

The Village Inn wouldn’t be here without the people who support it, and we will never take that for granted.

So from Adam and me, genuinely, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We’re so lucky to have the support we do and today meant more to us than you probably realise. ❤️

Our first Rock Around the Green was one we’ll never forget.

It’s finally here!! Our first ever Rock Around the Green and we honestly can’t wait to get the day started! 🍻🎶

We’ve got the incredible Box O Bananas kicking things off at The Village Inn from 2:30pm — so get down early, grab yourself a seat, get a cold drink in your hand and settle in for a brilliant day of live music! 🎤🎸

🎸 ONE WEEK TO GO! 🎸

Carstairs Village is in for a full day of live music from 1pm right through until midnight on Saturday 12th September. There’s no tickets, no entry fee, just turn up and enjoy! 🙌🍻

And if all that music makes you hungry… we’ll also have a food truck outside The Village Inn from 4pm–8pm 🌭🍔

Grab your pals, come down for a few drinks, something to eat and a brilliant day of live music right here in the village. 🖤💚

Well… it’s the first Wednesday of the month, and do you know what that means? The retired gentlemen of Carstairs have an important appointment… at the pub!🍺 😆

A chance to get together, enjoy a few pints, play some pool, darts or dominoes, put the world to rights and have a good blether! There’s even some pies 🥧

September is absolutely packed at Carstairs Village Inn, with something for everyone!

From the brilliant Jackson City Duo and our monthly Old Codgers Club, to our pool tournament, a full day of live music at Gig Round the Green, and our brilliant Games Day—there’s plenty to look forward to! 🍻🎸🎱🎲

🍻 WHO ARE WE? 🍻

We thought it was about time we properly introduced ourselves to those of you who don’t already know us!

We’re Adam and Shannon - a husband-and-wife team running Carstairs Village Inn and juggling approximately 642 jobs between us! 😂

You’ll usually find one of us behind the bar, pouring pints, having a blether and keeping everything running alongside some other friendly faces!

As well as the bar, we both look after our three cosy B&B rooms, making sure everything is spotless and our guests have a lovely stay. Adam also works full-time, is a musician, and teaches guitar lesson… because apparently he doesn’t believe in spare time! 🍺🛏️🎸

Outside the inn, we’re kept even busier by our four girls, our seven-month-old baby girl, plus our three older daughters, aged seven, seven and eight. So between the pub, the B&B, work, music, guitar lessons and family life, we really do have our hands full! 😂👶🏼

Life is busy, occasionally chaotic and there’s rarely a dull moment, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We absolutely love being part of the village and getting to know all the wonderful people who walk through our doors.
