🌟 Reviving Tradition 🌟
THE FREE ROLLS STORY 🌟

A lot of people have been asking about the free breakfast rolls tomorrow, so here’s the wee story behind it. Years ago it was a tradition at The Clydesdale that bread was thrown from the balcony during Lanimers as a way of looking after people on the big day. We loved the idea so much we wanted to bring a bit of that old spirit back.

🥖 In the spirit of the old custom of tossing bread rolls from the balcony of the Clydesdale Inn, we’ll be giving away free breakfast rolls (square sausage, bacon or tattie scone) to the first customers through the doors on Lanimer Day. — but in a way that actually helps someone.
In exchange for your free roll, we’re collecting donations for St Andrews Hospice — a much-loved local charity that provides specialist palliative care for people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as vital support for their families here in Lanarkshire. Every donation, no matter how small, helps them continue their incredible work in our community.

To make sure everyone has a safe, smooth and enjoyable day tomorrow, please take a minute to read this.

Kids
Kids must be supervised at all times
Kids curfew is 5:30pm –

Ordering & Service
No table service tomorrow
No reservations – it’s first come, first served
Please respect any reserved signs you see – these tables are set aside for senior or disabled customers
Know what you want before you reach the bar
Be ready to pay
No standing at the bar – we’ll have 4 till points open with extra staff on
Please be kind and patient with the team – it’s going to be busy!

Beer Garden & Food
Beer garden and street drinking area open 12pm – 7:30pm
Food trucks (Pizza & Tacos) will be open until they sell out
Chicken tenders and kids meals available from the kitchen window (grab & go style) between 12–4pm

Plastic Cups

We’re using high-quality reusable plastic pints this year
There’s a £1 deposit on your first pint
Return your cup to the bar and get your £1 back
Any money left unclaimed at the end of the night will be donated to St Andrews Hospice

Safety & Looking After Each Other

We’ll have a free water station set up all day – please use it
It’s going to be a long day – drink safe, pace yourself, and look after your mates
We have zero tolerance for any abuse or aggression towards staff or other customers. Anyone causing trouble will be asked to leave

We want everyone to have a great day and get home safe.
Look after each other, be kind, and enjoy the day.

🌮 LANIMERS FOOD – TACOS ARE COMING! 🌮

Tomorrow is going to be a proper food day at The Clydesdale.

We’re open from 8am and from the second we open we’ll be serving free breakfast rolls (square sausage, bacon & tattie scone) with all donations going to St Andrews Hospice.

But the real food excitement starts when the food trucks arrive in the backyard:

Los Colemanos – The best tacos and nachos in Scotland. Fresh, proper Mexican street food. If you’ve had them before, you already know. If you haven’t… you’re in for a treat.

Vagabond Pizza Co – Proper Neapolitan pizzas made with all Italian ingredients - we hunted for the best Italian pizzas in Scotland and Vagabond won hands down

In the main bar we’ll also have our grab & go chicken tenders plus kids meals from the kitchen window between 12–4pm.

No normal menu tomorrow — just the good stuff.

More details dropping throughout today, but if you’re coming for the food… you’re going to be well looked after.

We’re open from 8am on the big day!
Free Breakfast Rolls
From 8am we’ll be serving free breakfast rolls (square sausage, bacon & tattie scone).
In exchange we’re asking for a donation to St Andrews Hospice. Every little helps!

Food on the Day

Food Trucks in the Backyard

Our kitchen will be closed for normal service this year.
Instead we’re doing “Love Me Tender” — our amazing chicken tenders will be available grab & go style from the kitchen window (12–4pm).
We’ll also have a selection of kids meals available.

Beer Garden
Our beer garden will be bigger than ever and we got you covered with Lanark’s biggest umbrella — so rain or shine we’ll have a great time!

Entertainment
Main Bar
• Leanne Reid Karaoke – 2pm till 5pm
• Pauline Grant making her Clydesdale debut – 6pm till 9pm

Assembly Room inside back room
Double Dunt from 7:30pm until close

Kids Curfew
This year the curfew for kids and young people will be 5:30pm.
We feel this is best for everyone given how busy and lively it gets. Plenty of time to get down and enjoy the day before then!

Plastic Cups

Because these Scotland games are going to be busy, tickets will guarantee your entry. We don’t want to turn anyone away on the night, so get yours early.

Tickets are now on sale at the bar now!

£10 per ticket includes a pint of your choice + a half-time pie (pure dead fancy pies BTW)

Sunday 14 June – Haiti vs Scotland – Kick-off 2:00am (We’re going full all-nighter!)

Friday 19 June – Scotland vs Morocco – Kick-off 11:00pm

Wednesday 24 June – Scotland vs Brazil – Kick-off 11:00pm

This is going to be WORLD CUP HQ in Lanark all summer long. Great new HD screens, cracking atmosphere, good food, and plenty of cold pints.
