A little update from us! 🍁 We’ll be closed this week for a short break, reopening on 11th November. We’re looking forward to getting back to serving you all our seasonal dishes and drinks here in Borrowdale.

Life recently at The Yew Tree… 🍂

Rainy days in Borrowdale, homemade soups, autumnal puddings and plenty of preparations for our Sunday roasts. Even our little red squirrel has been keeping busy in the garden! 🐿️

Autumn is well and truly here and we’ve been making the most of these cosy days🤎🍂

Storm Boelo might be bringing some wild weather to the Lake District this weekend but it seems our local wildlife has other plans! 🍂🐿️

Even with the wind and rain on its way our resident red squirrels are still keeping busy around our riverside b**r garden here in Seatoller. We’ve worked hard to make our garden a space for both visitors and wildlife, and seeing these little characters making the most of it is always lovely.

Just another glimpse of life here in the Borrowdale Valley! ❤️

A little glimpse into the heart of The Yew Tree! 🍃🍴

There’s a lot of work that goes on in our kitchen before your food reaches the table and it’s something we take a lot of pride in. From preparing fresh ingredients to making dishes from scratch, our chefs put so much time and care into what they do.

We love making the most of local suppliers and seasonal produce, bringing you proper homemade food, generous portions and plenty of flavour.

October calls for Black Forest French Toast 🍒🍂

French toast topped with chocolate fudge sauce, fresh berries and Chantilly cream… and yes, it’s every bit as good as it sounds.

This one’s currently on our pudding menu and it’s not to be missed. Save some room for this one 🥄

A few new sides have made their way onto the menu 🍴

Whether you’re adding something extra to your main or getting a few for the table to share, there’s even more to choose from next time you’re in. Sides don’t have to be boring… and ours are packed with plenty of flavour 🌶️

As we start to get a bit quieter we have a few changes to our food service hours.

Wednesday - Friday
Light bar snacks and drinks served until 5pm
Dinner from 5pm - 9pm

Saturday
Lunch from 12pm - 4pm
Dinner from 5pm - 9pm

Sunday Roast - Sundays Only
12pm - 6pm

No audio needed, just the sounds of The Yew Tree garden 🐦‍⬛🍃

Birds on the feeders, the stream running nearby and the sounds of Borrowdale all around you. It’s one of our favourite things about the garden, especially on a quiet afternoon.

Grab a table outside, order some lunch and a drink, and just enjoy being tucked away in Seatoller for a little while. 🌿

Sometimes the best soundtrack is no soundtrack at all.
