Who remembers these then? 👀

With Keswick Market celebrating 750 years, we thought it would be a good time to look back on our own history... and our old tariff brochures show just how different the hotel used to look and, of course, what it once cost to stay here!

The Kings Arms itself is a Grade II listed building, with more than 300 years of history in the town. Even when Keswick saw more horses than cars, Market Square has always been on our doorstep, attracting traders, travellers and residents alike.

In 2023, the hotel underwent a major renovation, carefully preserving historic features including the original 17th-century oak support beams and posts. So, over 300 years on, we're still full of character, history and true Cumbrian hospitality.

With three centuries of Kings Arms history and 750 years of Keswick Market, there's never been a better time to visit this historic market town.
