The Buxton Team would just like to say a massive thank you to all that came last Wednesday night to support the "The Bux Quiz" with our resident quiz master "Jack Williams", powered by "Speed Quizzing" We had 12 teams, all hoping to get that 1st place, which "Quiz on yer Face" did, followed in 2nd place by "Epstein's alive knicks in five", 3rd place "The Most Slappable Men in Gee Cross", 4th place "We Came We Saw We Guessed" and in 5th place "Quizzy McQuizzicals". In last place but by no means least and winning the Skittles were "Queenagers". The "Play Your Cards" jackpot of £170 was not won. This means we now have £200 in the Jackpot next week, AT THE EARLIER TIME OF 7pm, where "Jack Williams" will be back at the helm with us, so we look forward to seeing you all again next week for another fun packed quiz". Well, the weather might be a bit mixed today, but don't forget - Tonight is our "Bux Quiz" with our resident quiz master "Jack Williams". Could you do with some extra cash for the weekend ......... then don't forget to come and join us tonight for our weekly FREE to enter, fun "Bux Quiz" from 8pm. Prizes to be won for 1st; 2nd; 3rd; 4th; 5th and last places. Then after the quiz we have our jackpot game of "Play Your Cards" where for just £1 you could boost your bank balance and walk away with the jackpot prize, which this week is at £170, for just correctly guessing if each card is Higher or Lower than the preceeding one, wouldn't that be a nice little boost to your balance in June.
Why not make a night of it and book a table in the restaurant beforehand and enjoy an authentic Thai or English meal before the quiz starts, or even try one of our delicious pizzas, "Quizdogz" or our new "Nachos with Chilli & Cheese".

Further to my post yesterday regarding the theft of the MENTELL charity box, we feel that the charity should not lose out due to low life's. We have a temporary charity box if anyone would like to donate

THEFT..... Does anybody recoginse these 2 guys. They came in to the Buxton on Saturday 30th May @ 14:19 and decided to help themselves to the Charity Box that was on the bar. They then left the pub by 14:29 and headed down towards the village.
If anyone has any information please either contact the pub directly or the police who have been informed and will be taking the CCTV footage of the incident. The police crime reference number is CRI/06GG/0010426/26

In last place but by no means least and winning the Skittles were "Chaz and Dave". The "Play Your Cards" jackpot of £100 was not won. This means we now have £140 in the Jackpot next week, where "Jack Williams" will be back at the helm with us, so we look forward to seeing you all again next week for another fun packed quiz". The "Play Your Cards" jackpot of £600 was not won, although "The Pheasant Pluckers" did walk away with a £95 Jackpot bribe.
