Well, it’s been a while since I managed to post on here! I have to confess, I’m currently suffering from a bit of an aversion to social media 🤷‍♀️ I’m sure I’ll get over it eventually… 🙃

So… anyhoo… what’s occurring? 👀

Well, we’re trying something a little different on the ale front this weekend. We’ve got a blonde, a pale ale and a traditional ale — all firm favourites from well-loved breweries.
Which one will you choose? 🤔🍺

Meanwhile, the usual suspects on the T-bar have all been restocked and are ready for action:
🍏 Aspalls Cyder
🍺 Jaipur IPA
🍺 Pravha Pilsner
🍺 Veltins Pilsner

The Listers crisps have been restocked in ALL the flavours (because apparently we need ALL the flavours 🤣). The wine fridge is full, the mixers and bottles are restocked, the lines have been cleaned, as has the rest of the pub...

I guess that means we’re ready for the weekend! 🙂

All we need now is for you lovely lot to come out to play 🙂 — preferably accompanied by your four-legged friends, obviously. 🐾

Speaking of which... our resident pub dog will be putting in an appearance on Sunday evening for his adoring fans. So, if you’ve been worried about his welfare, wondering how he’s coping with life chez Sam, or simply need your regular dose of dog... you know where to find him 🐾

And while we’re on the subject of dogs, a very warm welcome to Pip, our newest “pub dog in training” and Roy’s new partner in crime. Hopefully she’ll become our newest regular!

I've been a bit lackadaisical with my posts the last couple of weeks, apologies for not keeping you up to date with the beer-off news 😀

So for the last three weekends Team Real Ale has won by a very narrow margin each weekend (the least being 1.5 pints and the most being 6.5 pints). It's been a pretty quiet month overall so far, at least at work, it's been pretty hectic at home 🤷‍♀️🙈

So, what's occurring this weekend I hear you ask?

Well...starting the weekend on the ales we have:
🍺 Sleck Dust - Great Newsome
🍺 Traditional Bitter - Old Mill
🍺 Marmalade Porter - Wold Top

We have the usual suspects in the t-bar:
🍺Aspalls Cyder
🍺Jaipur IPA
🍺Pravha Pilsner
🍺Veltins Pilsner

The fridges are restocked, but we're waiting on a delivery of snacks and crisps that haven't arrived yet...so stocks are limited until their arrival.

Other than that, there's not much else to report 🤷‍♀️

Where on earth has the week gone??
I hope you've all been enjoying the sunshine.
It's been a bit too warm for Mudhog bogdogs and Jenny Wren and I've been too busy to get outside very much 🙄

Well, Tailor's is ready for the weekend ahead. Apologies in advance if the cleanliness is not up to the usual standards...I cleaned, made a mess, cleaned again, made another mess and then had another whizz round but it was hot and I was bothered 🤷‍♀️🙈

On the ale front this weekend we're kicking off with a duo of Old Mill Brewery, Snaith beers and an old favourite from The Wold Top Brewery. The usual suspects remain on the tbar and the fridges are fully stocked.

Jen has a Doctors appointment this afternoon but all being well we should be open at the usual time, bear with me if I'm not quite organised at opening.

🚨 Beer-Off Update! 🚨

Well, well, well... Team Real Ale put in a much stronger performance this week, but Team T-Bar still took the win... by a whole 3½ pints! 🤣🍺

The temperatures are easing off a bit this week, which I think is a huge sigh of relief all round. The big black dog can stop melting into the floor, the bar staff might actually regain the ability to think straight, and we can all enjoy a pint without feeling like we're sitting in a sauna! 🐶☀️😂

Don't get too comfortable though... apparently another heatwave is lurking just around the corner next week. We'll keep the beer cold and the air-con ready... just in case! 🍺❄️

Just a little reminder that weekends are now even longer at Tailor's! 🍻

We're now open Friday to Monday, 5pm–11pm, giving you an extra evening to pop in for a pint (or two), have a catch up and, of course, help your chosen Beer-Off team claim victory! 😉

Also don't forget, Craft Club is on Wednesday from 5pm. Whether you're knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, card making, or working on any other crafty project, bring it along, have a drink and help set the world to rights with our friendly group of ladies. Everyone's welcome! 🧶✂️🍷

Well... it's been a long, hot week, but we're prepped and ready to go! 🍻

Apparently there's a chance of a thunderstorm later... but whatever the weather, we've got the aircon on, the beer chilled, and the pub ready to welcome you.

I'm sure it'll come as no surprise to anyone that with the current temperatures Team T-Bar stormed to a 19-pint victory in last weekend's beer-off! Can Team Real Ale bounce back this weekend? Or will the T-bar keep the lead? 🤔🍺

On the ales to kick off the weekend:
