A modern British pub and restaurant in Hitchin with a large beer garden. As a Free House we're also known for our great cocktails, craft beers and fine wines in the bar. Our function room is available for hire for business meetings or lunches, private dining and weddings. We host a huge range of events including live music, a unique pub quiz and a monthly bottomless brunch. Cycling friendly and well-behaved dog friendly.

Oktoberfest is back for another year of BIG BEERS and live music!

Oktoberfest will run for two weeks , starting on Wednesday 23rd September.

We’ll have official Oktoberfest b**rs on the taps with our signature 1 litre steins to drink them from, Oktoberfest specials on the set menu and main menus, and an Alpine W**e tasting for our Grapes and Babes this month.

Capping it off on the two Saturdays we have live music in the following order:

Saturday 26th Sept - from 8pm

Saturday 3rd October - from 7pm

If you’re a local parent looking to get out and socialise over a glass of w**e this is the event for you. Grapes and Babes is a w**e tasting where it’s BYOB - bring your own baby!

You’ll try 4 different w**es, informally presented with breaks for changing, feeding and chatting. We will have some light nibbles to snack on, with the option to order more substantial food from our menu as well.

For G&B in September we’ll be taking you to Germany and Austria for some fantastic alpine w**es, as part of our Oktoberfest celebrations.

On Saturday 1st August the fantastic Kevin Simpson join us for an afternoon of live soul music in the Kite garden from 2.30pm - 4.30pm.

It’s free entry, just bring yourselves and don’t forget the vibes!

We’ll be serving lunch from 12pm-3pm, alongside our signature frozen cocktails and international range of craft b**rs.
