A great family pub serving pub classics and complete with a soft play area Our event space is ideal for groups, meetings, or privacy.

A McMullen pub since 1957, the Angels is just a hop, skip and jump from Butts Lane park, and a few moments away from the bustle of the town centre. Here you’ll find traditional British classics, including a divine Sunday roast, fresh sour dough pizza, and tasty nibbles to complement popular wines, world beers, locally brewed ales and fresh coffee. It’s available from early until late so if you’re interested in booking us for your event, please click Private Hire to find out more and get in touch! Small ones are most welcome – enjoy our unique indoor soft play area or outside area when the sun is shining. We think that this is the perfect modern pub!

DRY RUN #1 & #2! 🍽️🍻

After 7 weeks of refurb, yesterday we finally got to put the new Angels through its paces with our very first dry runs — split into daytime and evening sessions! 🙌

We were so lucky to have some of our lovely family, friends and regulars join us, alongside the team from one of our amazing sister pubs, The Jolly Farmers in Enfield, who are now embarking on their own refurb journey! 🥰

Having so many familiar faces join us for our practice runs has been such a brilliant way to test everything out before the big day, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout the last 7 weeks. ❤️

A huge thank you also goes to all the managers, assistants, GM’s, training managers and area managers from across the McMullen’s family who have joined us to help train and prepare our team for reopening — we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!

And now… we’re nearly there! 👀

We officially reopen THIS TUESDAY, 6th October at 4pm! 🎉

We’re so excited to finally welcome you all back through the doors, show you what we’ve been working on and host you all again very, very soon! 🍻❤️
