As a small community pub, The Chequers is proud to be at the heart of local life. Like many pubs, restaurants and hospitality businesses across the country, we’re facing increasing pressure from rising costs while continuing to provide a welcoming place for our community.

That’s why we’re supporting chef and publican Tom Kerridge and the campaign, which is calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced to 10%.

A lower VAT rate would help pubs like ours invest more in our people, our premises and the experiences we provide for our customers.
