Behind every poppy is a life. Someone’s parent, child, partner or friend. Someone loved, missed and remembered.

This Remembrance Sunday, we honour those who gave everything, those who returned carrying memories we may never understand, and the families who stood beside them.

To our veterans: we’d be honoured to offer you a drink on us, hot or cold. A small gesture, but a heartfelt thank you for your service. ❤️

The Red Lion will open from 11:00am, with a warm welcome, company and breakfast:

Another Budget. Another Kick in the Bo****ks for Hospitality!

Let’s look at the damage…

🍺 B**R DUTY UP 3.9% – because clearly we’re not paying enough for a bloody pint already!

💷 MINIMUM WAGE UP 3.9% – our staff deserve decent money, absolutely! But who’s helping us pay for it?

❌ VAT STILL 20% – not a penny of help. Cheers for that!

🏠 BUSINESS RATES RELIEF – a few crumbs thrown our way while the rest of the costs go through the roof!

Here’s what the government doesn’t seem to understand…

We can’t keep putting prices up. You can’t keep paying more. And we certainly can’t keep pulling money out of thin air!

WE RUN PUBS, NOT BLOODY MONEY-PRINTING MACHINES!
