The Wellington is a charming Chef & Brewer pub in the pleasant village of Riding Mill, not far from Hexham and surrounded by stunning Northumberland countryside. Just a stone’s throw from the south bank of the River Tyne, it’s an ideal stop after enjoying the many scenic walks nearby. Our food menu caters for all tastes, with breakfast options, seasonal specials and a traditional pub Sunday roast. We serve real cask ales and carefully selected wines, which you can enjoy in our beer garden on a sunny day. With free WiFi and disabled facilities, our family-friendly, dog-friendly pub also shows live sport on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

It’s not just our main menu that’s had an upgrade — we’ve also refreshed our buffet menu and introduced a brand-new ‘Picky Bits’ menu too!

Perfect for everything from a cosy catch-up over a bottle of w**e or watching the footy with friends, to larger gatherings and special celebrations. 🍾🥂

Ask in the pub for a copy of our buffet menu, and don’t forget — our ‘Picky Bits’ menu is available all day, every day.

Our new menu has arrived! 🍽️

Our head Chef Darren cooked every dish for staff and locals to try last night, and the feedback was incredible.

Take a look at the menu online — or even better, come down and taste it for yourself ☀️

Our NEW MENU is nearly here! ☀️

Get ready for fresh summer flavours, including Chicken Caesar Salad, burrata with heritage tomatoes, a sticky duck salad, and a delicious falafel burger.

We’re also bringing back some much-loved classics like lasagne, sausage & mash, and nachos.
My personal favourite? Parmesan & truffle fries 😋

Our new menu is launching 7th May! 🌻
