❤️ A LITTLE BIT OF BOAT INN MAGIC! ❤️

Sometimes it's the little things that make you smile, and this one certainly made us smile the other day! 🥰

A little girl with her 2 dogs popped into the pub with her dad whilst he enjoyed a quick pint and catch-up with a friend. She happily entertained herself at our chalkboard, creating her own little masterpiece. 🎨

Once she'd left, someone else decided to add some hearts of their own. ❤️❤️

And then, as if that wasn't lovely enough, someone else enjoyed a game of hangman! ✏️

Before we knew it, our chalkboard had become a little community artwork, created by three visitors who didn't even know each other! 🥹

We've decided to leave it just as it is for now, to see if anyone else comes along and adds their own little touch!

It's moments like these that remind us what a pub should be all about. Not just somewhere to have a drink or a meal, but somewhere everyone feels welcome, little ones included. ❤️

So, the chalkboard is officially open for contributions! We wonder what it will look like by the end of this evening when sadly, it will be wiped clean for darts 🎯

🎃👻 SPOOKTACULAR FUNDRAISING QUIZ NIGHT AT THE BOAT INN! 👻🎃

This Halloween, we’re getting together for a bit of spooky fun with a special fundraising quiz night, and we’d love you to join us! 🧡🖤

❤️ WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING?

We’re hoping to raise £180 to cover the cost of a replacement battery for our defibrillator. Having a working defibrillator available in our community is so important, and we want to make sure it’s ready when it’s needed most.

Any money raised above our £180 target will be distributed to other good causes, so every penny raised will help make a difference! ❤️

🖌️ THINGS ARE GETTING A LITTLE COLOURFUL AT THE BOAT INN! 🖌️

We’re giving the pub a little freshen-up! ✨ A lick of paint here, a little TLC there, and lots of love going into making The Boat Inn even more welcoming for you all. 🥰

So, if you spot us wandering around with paint on our clothes, looking like we’ve lost a fight with a paintbrush, or sporting the odd splatter in places paint really shouldn’t be… please be kind!

We promise we’re better at pouring pints than painting straight lines! 😅

We’re busy behind the scenes getting everything looking lovely, ready for all the exciting things we have coming up.
