Twinkling lights tonight ✨❤️

Definitely not taking these for granted after this morning’s power cut! ⚡️

We spent the morning in the dark, with a dead backup battery, hunting for that one elusive spot of EE signal to hotspot our systems. We found one… so yes, signal can be found within our four walls! 🤫😂 But we quite like being somewhere you can properly switch off, especially with a pint in hand! 🍻

A reminder that we can’t control everything, but a giggle, a pile of love and teamwork on point make even the trickiest days that little bit easier. We really do have the BEST team! ❤️

⚡ SUNDAY MORNING POWER CUT! ⚡

Every cloud has a silver lining… we’re just not quite sure what ours is yet! (Looking at this photo praying for a silver lining to appear)

The good news is that the power is back on! 🙌 The not so good news is that our lovely kitchen crew need a couple of hours to get all those potatoes perfectly crisped. 🥔✨

Sadly, we’ve had to cancel our first lunch sitting (all customers have been contacted), but we’ll be honouring all bookings from 2pm onwards and walk-ins for lunch from 3pm onwards.

But don’t let that put you off popping in for a drink! 🍻 Our b**r cooler is raring to go and the sun is trying to put its hat on!

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding! ❤️

Happy Birthday to James! 🎉🍻🍾

We personally don’t think your birthday plate quite lives up to an Alford birthday plate… (although we may be slightly biased, or maybe it’s just missing one of our homemade puds with a candle in the middle! 😂🎂🍰)

💕 WE’RE HIRING! 💕

Our happy little team is looking for two lovely new faces to join our smiley bunch! 🥰✨

We have both a full time and part time position available, and we’d love to welcome some new pals into our team. If you’re friendly, enthusiastic, finished full time education (mid week shifts as well as weekend shifts) and think you’d be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you! 🫶🏼

📩 Please send us over your CV — we can’t wait to hear from you! 💌

There’s a little chill in the air, the evenings are drawing in… and suddenly it feels like the perfect time to share our gorgeous festive illustration 🎄✨

A big shout out to the lovely Debbie Shrimpton Illustrates for creating this beauty for us ❤️

And just in case you’re starting to dream of that Christmas feeling too… our festive menu is now live on the website and ready for you to take a peek. 🕯️✨

Here’s to cosy evenings, good food and a little festive magic. ❤️
