The Red Lion combines comfort, atmosphere and style in a building that dates back to the early 1700's. The original listed building has been renovated sympathetically to create a warm and cosy bar with open fires and the more modern part of the building showcasing Oakman Inns & Restaurants' signature open kitchen and airy and contemporary restaurant. For the warmer months, this opens into a stylish outside paved area for alfresco dining. Join us for breakfast, morning coffee or tea, and a selection of fresh cakes and pastries. Enjoy a range of Mediterranean-inspired lunches or dinners, featuring dishes grilled in our charcoal-fuelled Josper oven and genuine Italian hand-made pizzas cooked in our wood-fired pizza oven. Our bar is open all day, with an extensive list of wines, beers, real ales and cocktails.

We only have 2 weeks and 1 day left until we close our doors for a little refresh! 🔨✨

Sunday 27th September will be our last day of trade, before we temporarily close for 4 weeks while we give the restaurant a well-deserved refurbishment. 🛠️🍽️

We’re so excited to give the place a fresh new look and make a few changes behind the scenes — creating an even better space for you to enjoy your favourite meals, drinks and special occasions. 🥂❤️

So, if you’ve been meaning to visit, now is the time! 👀
Come and see us before we close — we’d love to see as many of you as possible before our little makeover begins!
