Friday 4th - Koala Kitchen return with their incredible Asian street food, serving from 5pm.

Friday 11th to Sunday 13th - Oktoberfest! Our delicious Festbier returns (as do the steins), and to make it feel all the more authentic, we have The Grumpy German with us on Friday AND Saturday (from 5pm on both days)

On Saturday we will also have live music from Oompahlievable (what a name!), who will bring some authentic German Oktoberfest music, which will gradually morph into something very different. You won’t want to miss it!

Music will start from 7:30pm, and we invite those that are so inclined to dust off their Lederhosen and Dirndl, and get into the spirit.

Tuesday 15th - quiz night is back, following the amazing charity quiz we had last month. Quizmaster Michael Smith will bring another fun set of questions and teasers to the taproom. Starts at 7pm!

Wednesday 16th - Edward Quigley starts his Viking Way Walk for OPN MND - 149 miles over eight days. You can sponsor Ed via the link in our profile.

Friday 18th - new food from Big Dish Energy - smash burgers, and they look AMAZING.

Friday 25th - Chapel House Pizza Chapel House Pizza Co are back with us, serving authentic Neapolitan pizzas from 5pm. They were very, very popular a couple of weeks back, so don’t miss them.

Saturday 26th - a different day this month for Dave, Tony and Chris aka Twilight, who will be playing live from the taproom, with their covers of easy listening, rock and blues classics. Starts at 8pm.

Sunday 27th - Micky and the regular trad Irish session crew will be playing from 3-6pm, in the taproom. A lovely accompaniment to a Sunday afternoon pint.

Oh, and we’ll be serving award-winning beers throughout the month, as per usual.

Open every day from 12pm.

Continuing from our previous post…

Following them on Sat 22nd was Luke Turner, aka , who brought Irish punk folk to the taproom (or garden, more specifically) and again, a brilliant debut it was.

Along with note live music over rhe autumn and winter, we’ll be bringing a brand new, regular vinyl night - more info on that soon.

And of course the quizzes continue, and then there’s Oktoberfest, our dark beer promotion in November, new food options and more…

The weather did us dirty this weekend - we missed out on and , but we will be rescheduling both and will let you know as soon as we have dates…

We can’t complain, really. We’ve had an awesome summer of music outside, and the music will continue into the autumn and winter, with smaller, intimate gigs in our taproom.

In the meantime, we haven’t had a chance to properly thank our recent acts who brought something different and special to 8SB…

On Friday 21st August (feels so long ago!) we had the amazing Lara and Charlotte aka Owl & Pussycat with us for the first time - and definitely not the last. Charlotte and Lara; you were so good and we’ve already had lots of customers asking when you’ll be back with us!
