People often think all dark beers taste the same.
They don’t 😌
Porters are usually a little smoother, lighter, and more chocolatey.
Stouts tend to be deeper, roastier, and a bit bolder. Think coffee, dark chocolate, toasted flavours.
But in all honesty, the lines blur all the time. Some stouts drink like porters. Some porters drink like stouts. And most people are just nodding confidently and hoping nobody asks follow-up questions 🍺 😆
