đč As we approach Remembrance Sunday, itâs the time of year when we reflect on and remember all those who have served, sacrificed and continue to serve our country.
Here at The Victoria, weâre putting together a Remembrance display dedicated to the servicemen and women of our local community, past and present, and weâd love your help bringing it together.
Weâre asking local residents to share photographs of any relatives who have served in the Armed Forces, First and second world wars, national service and more recent conflicts, or in peacetime. If youâve served yourself, weâd also love to include your photograph, or any pictures you took during your time in service.
* Photographs of relatives who served in the Armed Forces, past or present.
* Pictures of yourself or family members in uniform.
* Photographs taken during service, including training, deployments or everyday military life.
* Any other photographs connected to local military history.
If possible, it would be wonderful if you could include any information you know about the person in the photograph, such as their name, regiment or unit, branch of service, dates of service, or where and when the photograph was taken. Donât worry if you donât know all the details; every photograph and every story is welcome.
We want this display to celebrate the people from our own community who have served, ensuring that their faces, stories and sacrifices are not forgotten.
