Hi Glossop. Exciting news with all the development happening in Glossop, including the new indoor market and fantastic new venues opening, the sights and sounds of Glossop are really developing, and we felt it was time as we keep threatening to do the refurbishment on the lounge, that in the next 3 to 4 weeks our refurb will start. I think it’s a very, very exciting new chapter for the Victoria Lounge, and I think and hope that you’re going to be rather impressed with the transformation of the lounge. It’ll still be that warm, cozy pub that everybody loves, but we’re hoping just to make it that bit cozier, a little bit warmer, and get ready for those cold winter months with our roaring open fire. There’s also some other exciting developments planned and as each one is completed we’ll be sharing them with you. We’re genuinely so excited about the transformation, and we really hope you’re going to be as impressed with it as we are. Thank you, Glossop, for all the support you’ve given the Victoria Lounge over the years. Here’s to many more years and many more memories. We can’t wait for you to join us on our new journey.

Hi all, just a quick one. A table of three left this evening without settling the bill. We’re absolutely certain it was just an honest mix-up. These things happen, and we’re guessing everyone thought someone else had sorted it. If that was your table, could you have a quick chat amongst yourselves and, if nobody paid, just give us a ring or pop in? No drama at all. We know Andy Burnham’s reducing our business rates, but that’s not till April next year, so we could really do with the money in the meantime. Cheers The Victoria Lounge x

Public service announcement: in the name of science,
I tested tonight’s specials. Three portions of the garlic and herb sardines later, and I can confirm two things. One, they’re delicious. Two, my breath is now a weapon.
Also on tonight, crispy soft-shell crab with garlic aioli and crispy kale, and the Bloomer Moo Burger, a six-ounce steak beauty with blue cheese, skin-on fries, and slaw. Everything’s been rigorously quality checked. Some more rigorously than others. Come grab your favorite before I foolishly volunteer for round4. See you tonight.
